Storing Skis

Is there a way that you are meant to store skis over the summer? do you have to lie them flat o stop em bending or miss-shaping? cos ive always just stuck them in my wardrobe and left em....

 
yeah actually it does, when i was racing, they told us to put some sorta oil on the edges to keep em from rusting.

wax the bottoms to, hotwax them if you can, this keeps your skis bases from drying out

Yeah - hotwax without scraping. Don't throw any random oil on the edges - research it and find somethign suitable. You shouldn't even need to oil them if you keep them in somewhere non-humid. And turn your DINs right down on you bindings (then have them set up and tested by a shop next winter if you don't know what you're doing).

 
NH-Line is kinda right... but you get get wax that protects and lasts really long... not normal ski wax...that shite is the best.

can you wax by yourself or do you need a shop to do this? I'm always just put my skis in my bag

^^ Doesn't make a difference. About the 'storage wax'..........fukkk buying that stuff. Use candle wax. I've been a 'shop rat' for years now and that's all we've ever used.
