Stopping your rotation on boxes?

I've just learnt 270s and switch ups onto boxes but I've having trouble controling the rotation. I'll do a switch 270 on and keep spinning on the box, having to do a bs switch up and then I'll keep spinning on the box. I know for rails I need to scissor my skis to stop it, can I still do this on boxes or is there a different technique? I want to get a bit more control and style into my boxes.

This also works well with pretzels...

For reg. leftside 270's on: when you land, have your left foot closer to the skiers right side of the box and press the tip down. While doing this be on your inside edge. Generally these work easier on rails, but will still work on boxes. Your right ski should have a little more weight towards your heel with your tip almost slightly raised above the box because you should be applying pressure to your inside edge.

For switch left 270's on: when you land, have your right foot closer to the siders left side of the box, and press your tip down (pressure on inside edge). Left ski should have a little more weight towards your heel with your tip almost slightly raised above the box because you should be applying pressure to your inside edge.

jsut aim it so your gonna be pretty close to the coping on the box and just grip the edge of the coping, like you would on a rail.
