This is a pure park ski only! I couldnt hold an edge at all outside of the park with this ski! Blah Blah Blah whine whine whine. If your a good skier, you can hold an edge with a center mounted fujative with EXTREMLEY dull edges on east coast ice all winter. I know because i did this. There is no such thing as a ski that cant perform outside the park. Unless you dont know how to ski. And no im not saying pure park skis will hold up charging seth morrisons lines. But skis made for park skiing, arnt restricted to park. Stop with this "i cant ski outside park with these" bullshit.

hmmm. when people say the a fujative or invader sucks outside fo the park, its because it does...in their opinion. i think my fujatives suck ass outside the park, but thats compared to my msp's. when most people talk about out of park, its not like the out of park that some people ski. some all mtn/out of park lines are east coast glades, some are steep and skinny lines that end in cliffs at mt baker (jea!). i would never take my fujatives into a line like that. everybody has an opinion, and their opinion might be weighted on differnt skis they have used. people exagerate stuff though too. but AT SPEED, my fujatives will never hold an edge on ice. lots of people dont ski as hard as me though. my fujatves will hold an edges on ice (with cracked edges and mounted forward of center) going slow, but going slow sucks. that kind of sucked, i tried to put an example into why people would say a ski sucks, who knows though. its also kind of bad your ranting about other peoples opinions, but for the 56th time, everybody has their own opinion, voice it if you want to.

no i still got edge, its just cracked. i still can hold an edge, but i have to work a lot harder and its a lot harder when hauling ass instead of when im on my msp's.
 
ok, there is some truth to what you sayed but mostly it was crap. Yes you can hold your own on a sheet of ice, but you cant. Your not performing, you skidding around. Do you get to the bottem? yes but did you really ski the run, chances are no you didnt. I like to take some of my park friends and put them on a pair of race skis or a pair of super carving skis, they get blow away but the difference. Several of them have actually purchased a pair of non-park non-twin tip skis for super icy conditions, why did they do this? they did it because the realized the difference in what they thought was skiing and holding a edge out side of the park, and what really is holding a edge
 
Exactly. You CAN ski any ski anywhere but it's always going to be better on something designed for the job and tuned for that. Even after just deburring the edges every few days on my park skis I noticed a huge difference on groomers this year. You're an idiot if you think you can ski one ski just as well as another on any given terrain. I tested over 30 different skis this year and if my budget was unlimited I'd buy 5 different skis for different conditions, because a ski that is specialised for a particular terrain can make a huge difference.
 
it's not what's strapped to your feet that matters nearly as much as who is strapped to the skis. of course having the right tool for the trade is always best but if you know how to ski, it won't matter. i'm pretty sure glen plake, mike hattrup and scott schmitt didn't complain about the 60mm wide skis they rode in the steep and deep back in the day.

The tune that is put on the ski is also important. A shittily tuned B2 will not work as well as a well tuned Fujative on a groomer, I can tell you that.
 
im cosigning this shit. i rode my t-halls all season on east coast bullshit and i had no trouble skiing it. its really just how good you are. quit bitching
 
very true. it is insane how much a good tune helps. back when i still had my 160 mavericks and was 6'1'' i put a 1 and 2 degree bevel on them and it was insane. you could carve on them so much harder. then i sold them on ebay a few months ago for $250 hahaha. i got a 1 and 1 bevel on my elizabeths and i bet they will be so much better. a bevel will let you lay them over so much harder on the ice it is rediculous. but i would say most of it is the skier.
 
i live on the east coast....and ski on the ice all the time (not like i have a choice) and the ski does have a difference man. If you did do what you say you did.........you would be singing a different tune with a broken ass.
 
i dont have multiple pairs of skis like some people but i have fujis, center mounted. i live in michigan and its pretty icy up here. ski park most of the time and when im not i think its a pretty deec ski. thats only probably cuz i havent skiied any other all mountain skis tho.
 
im with you, when i used to work demo tents, i would get people coming to the tent asking for the turn radius on scratch fs skis... seriously, if your buying a park ski, who gives a flying fuck about the turn radius. if you want a good turning radius, go buy a race ski.
 
im guessing this rant was regarding me. i made a post in someones fujative vs something thread and you basically quote me

well i have center mounted fijies with no edges in east coast ice. AND i must say my friend.. i can ski. im fucking CSIA instructor.. so honestly stop chirping shit before you know everything. THE fujative cannot hold an edge at all with dull edges on ice. if you can do it, then, holy moses batman. The fujative can be ridden outside of the park, but why? almost any other park ski will out preform a center mounted fujitive with dull edges outside the park.

I must say, i love my fujatives. how ever, i have multiple pairs of skis. and i only use the fuj for what its made for. Park. If i was to get a new park ski, i would get the fuj again no questions asked.

SO i would enjoy it if you know what your talking about before you go on a stupid rant. i was just trying to help some kid out with buying his skis.
