Honestly I don't want to wine about this but people have been super rude to me lately on this site and something needs to be done. I know I am not that great. I just enjoy editing videos!

Is this really needed?^^^

Anyways sorry for wasting a few seconds of your day, I just feel like something should be done
 
people are dicks on the internet, get used to it. he could have been less of a dick about not liking your edit, but there's some truth to it.
 
soemtimes picking out the worst parts of an edit is the best way to learn how to edit correctly, and if the whole thing was bad then see what u did in said edit and tweak it. if u think something wasn't exactly par but u said fudge it and posted it anyway, go back to that spot and change it. not saying that what this guy did was ok, but sometimes tough love is good for people imo

no, I thought it was dope.

Only part that was mildly shitty was the shaky filming which isn't on you. I thought the skiing was really good! Don't take the hate personally, honestly.

I do see why people wouldnt like it because my videos are edited with pretty old software and stuff like that, people just need to calm down is all I'm saying.

Definitely agreed but that comment wasn't constructive criticism at all haha

On NS, you have all types of content with varying degrees of "professionalism."I guess that would be the word to use. Like everyone from newbs to people at big production companies post their content here so I feel like NS just has pretty high standards because of that. I wouldn't worry about it. Keep shredding and post that shit up everywhere!
 
Did you happen to look at all the other comments on the video? They all seemed pretty positive to me.

I thought it was pretty good!
 
I started to watch your edit before I saw this thread and made it like a minute in. For some reason it plays in some low frame rate and the camera is shaking around causing me to lose sight of you.

I love this site so much but I hate this shit so much.....makes me sick....all the down votes and negative comments....skiing is about being free, having fun, and supporting people. Not being a dick.
 
Constructive criticism is definitely needed, but honestly people being absolute assholes is just a necessary evil. We all have to deal with it, you just need to learn how to turn in into positive energy/momentum.

I don't know , I feel like NS has gotten a lot more positive concerning videos. I haven't seen any rude comments in the last time . If i remember correctly it was way badder some years ago!

NS kinda got a more friendly place , concerning hate

I'll be shreddin basin this season and I can give you some pointers filming/editing-wize... (peeps on tha internests can b quickscoperz somtimes)

Having older software is a struggle, but what ur using what you have which iz a very useful skill to have... work wit wat u got homes cause once youve figured out the basics 2 editing, going to a quicker more well rounded editing software will come much easier...

Disregard the hate. If you focus your efforts on making an edit that you are happy with/ proud of/ you did the best you could given your circumstances and you know that, then the feedback doesn't matter. When I started making Trudays my intention was to capture my experiences and have a video yearbook to look back on the fun times with my friends. Sometimes I nearly lose that focus when I'm editing but I remind myself who I'm making the video for. Myself. So if I like it then I made the best video and other opinions are irrelevant.

Whoever made that comment, it's their problem. Not yours.

I thought it was pretty tight...and were insta buddies so i see your stuff without the shitty filming (i will admit it was quite bad with the shake and lens scratches) but the skiing was tight

your not wrong, the amount of hate on here is insane, but at the same time its probably never gonna change so you just gotta learn to have thick skin. people hate on the best skiers in the world on here "gus has no style blah blah blah." if you have haters you probably are doing at least a few things right
