Stop the EMBED fail on NS!

I keep seeing embed fails all over the place on NS, especially in this ‘Ski Gabber’ forum. There are loads of posts about this issue in ‘Site discussion’, but not a lot of members go there.

For everyone who can’t seem to embed: Turn OFF your Fancy Editor (GUI) so that you can embed videos, post photos and have clickable links with ease...

Here’s how to do it:

In the top left orange profile area go to >> manage my NS >> settings >> Enable the Fancy Editor (GUI) : make sure this is switched to NO!!!!

*If you want to test, use the preview button when making posts.

Moderators, please don’t move this thread, at least right away. We’ve all seen this problem over and over. Sometimes I feel bad enough for members that I send a PM with instructions so they don’t feel like tools anymore. I don’t want to have to do that anymore.

all you have to do is copy the embed code ( which is not hard at all ) and preview to make sure it worked

make sure it works by posting in some obscure regional- and no need to make a new thread for it, i know that there are already a couple in wales that have been used for this purpose

I have a problem. When i reply to the thread i paste the embed code in and preview but nothing shows up in the preview. It seems like there should be something there because there is a big space but no video.

Can somebody point me in the right direction?
 
Preview doesn't show embedded videos I think. If your GUI Editor is off and you copied the code right the video should be embedded correctly if you just post.

embed on vimeo is easy.

youtube im sure is easy but im doing something small wrong with the coding.
 
It's spelled embed...

Copy the embed code on from the video it's pretty simple. Move your mouse over the video and it will show embed then click on it and copy and past. Make sure the fancy GUI editor is of.
