Stop hating on doubles

yo, for all the kids out there who hate on them, this is the offical post to stop hating on them.

I personally have taken in a hate for kids who refer to them as lame tricks and "they stop progressing the sport"

I don't think you guys really know how much water ramp work it takes to get down doubles, they are by far one of the hardest tricks in skiing, and jon and wester can do them with so much style.

so for everyone who agrees! post a pic of a dub flip

why would you come out of the closet on ns, tell a close freind about your decision instead

serious dude. everyone is entitled to there own opinion and can think what they want about each trick

not that i particulaly hate them but everyones entitled to an opinion. i think triples and doubles with massive spins are too far though

First of all, I disagree that they are the most difficult trick. I think spinning rightside or grabbing blunt while spinning switch cork is MUCH more difficult as well as 95 percent of urban rails done/ any tech rail trick. I also think that there's stuff that looks way more legit, tucking up and having your hand go to japan doesn't show control, though jacob and jon can do them fairly well, I think there is definitely stuff thats waaaayyyy sicker. I say if people dont like em, then let them, I personally think there is a lot of better ways skiing can go but it will go where it needs to, and I'll continue to try to learn it all because skiing is retardly fun. ur so phased dude, dont be

uh yeah i don't like them cause they move our sport toward aerials and away from grabs and style. And really how many of us can put in the hard work on a water ramp i mean you can't just go to your park and throw a double unless you are okay with breaking your neck. So doubles to me seem kinda ridiculous i am not saying they are not okay once in a while but i don't want to see everyone doing them in comps now that would just be silly, they should just go do aerials for the olympic teams.

a snowboarder telling skiers what to do?

hmmm...im going to hate all i want. they look like shit.

go back to snowboard.com

when you can do them, have them fucking dialed, and decide that you don't like them, only then can you hate.

you cannot hate.

no shit....and that's my point, that's the problem. people who jump all over something just because it looks different than what their accustomed to liking

Its not different from what weve been seeing, its the same ariealist crap thats been in the olympics for 20 years.

i thought dubs were starting to get old, but then i saw believe and was like, wow, dubs of massive cliffs are so much cooler than in big air, like seths dub fronts and tanners dub backs, sooooo steezy

I think the main reason ppl hate on double flips is because they're not a trick that you can just go out and throw, you have to go practice them off water ramps if you dont want to risk killing yourself. And now that they're getting more popular and you're seeing them in competitions its almost like you're are going to have learn them if you want any chance at competing. Personally i think they look sick but I could care less about doing them, but regardless ppl are still going to keep doing them, I just think that before they start throwing bigger spins into them, do a better grab than just a japan or safety grab

if you dont like them ok. but you dont have to be this hateful.

i mean come on, doing a double flip is not like eating a baby or whatever.

this is just skiing.

and i think they are dope as long as they are steezy.

I totally agree... thank you for posting that, except I want to learn them, but I want to be able to walk when I'm 30...

They are soooo high risk, its not like your first sw1080 where if you come up short your going to wash out, or explode out of your skis. If you come up short on a double you may never walk again.
