The x-games doesnt give a shit about skiing for one reason. we represent a small percent of views compaired to the masses who sapport snowbording just because its the cool thing to do. If skiers want to be treated better we need to do what we can and speak out. Its your duty as a core skier to find a way to tell the people of the x-games what you think. So stop complaining.. because its not goning to change anything... and email expn
 
i rather not, i think skiing is fine at the moment, more exposure just equals more money, if skiing was as popular as snowboarding i don't it would be as cool and unique as it is, leave it i say

just as a side note, dont cuss at them, it wont help. try to keep that to a minimum while getting your point across. if they see profanity more than likely they won't read it.

The winter moto x shit reminds me of the downhill snow mtn biking. didnt do any good for the real mtn biking, and i hope it does the same for motox
 
just sent mine in too. I woke up from a hangover to watch slopestyle this a.m. and was devastated to see a bunch of 1080s for about 30 minutes. Fuck them
 
yeah, they didn't even give us a different slopestyle course then the boarders. snowboardings a fukin fashooin trend.

What in God's name was up with that? Let's change skiing slopestyle to a best trick (AKA: Big Air) competition cuz we at ESPN dont respect skiing because it doesn't get ratings like snowboarding! We can postpone MotoX Best Trick (Backflipfest), but SHAFT all the skiers! And when we do show it... we won't show every athlete's run because we'd rather show LIVE coverage during PRIMETIME of Women's snowboarding Halfpipe. Every snowboarder in any XGames competition deserves full coverage of their runs, but skiers? Hell no. And by the way... what the hell is MotoX doing on SNOW??? They call them DIRTbikes for a reason. The only reason you have it is because it snags good ratings. You guys could care less about the athletes in any of these sports, as long as your ratings are as high as possible and your marketing department tells you that the XGAMES helps maintain a youthful image.

have you been up to the mountain lately? I'm seeing almost as many twin-tip skiers around here as there are snowboarders.
 
To the producers of the X games:

Hello, I am 14 years old and I am a devout skier. After waiting for a whole year to see skiing slopstyle, I was shocked to find that it was cancelled in lieu of heavy snow. I can understand this, but what I cannot seem to fathom is how moto X was "postponed" due to snow. Last time I checked, most people do not participate in dirtbiking during the winter months, so it is my assumption that you are airing moto X just for ratings. I do not appreciate this and I am insulted, along with the majority of the skiing community. As a result of the slopestyle cancellation, a big air contest was shown. This so called "exciting show of areial skill" turned out to be a switch 1080 contest in which almost every rider was forced to do the same trick in order to place. The few that didnt do switch 1080's were rewarded with sub 10th placings. I would just like to let the people at the X games, expn, and espn know that they have lost me as a viewer premanently, and I hope you all rot in hell.

Many of these e-mails to them sounded like mine did. So it looks like everyone noticied how rediculious it is to all out cancel a hardcore skiing event, and then postpone and re-schedule "Moto X" What the hell does moto have to do with winter sports? Not much just ratings! And whats up with hours of the yawn fest wones snowboard pipe? zzzzzzz. Anyway keep the letters going to ESPN and ABC. This feedback really does matter!!!!

I pretty much told them that 1080s over and over are boring and if they dont change the judging to allow for slower different tricks they should scrap this and put ariels in cause at least they're all doing triple back 1440s

i dont see why you couldnt have rescheduled skiing slopestyle when you rescheduled moto big air. you obviously dont care about skiing, but you should. there are tons of us, just a s amny ans there are snowboarders. instead of rescheduling, you turned it into a stupid huckfest crowd pleaser, and everyone just did the same trick. next time, either reschedule it, or there will be alot more pissed off people.

dear ESPN network. i am contacting you directly becasue i have a problem. actually, i beleive that the entire freeskiing community at www.newschoolers.com has an issue with how your network has run our sport in the x games as of late. my first problem is the insulting, and demeaning commentary during the games themselves and on the photographs. Please do not make yourselves look like idiots and get some judges that know what they are talking about and how to judge. and please on your expn web site do not let stupid comments such as and i quote "Hello, T.J. Schiller. Dont you realize that ski poles are only used as dowsing rods now?" what is this supposed to be? funny? all that happens when you go and do something like that is lose respect from a huge chunck of your viewers. you might think there are few of us, but over 50 000 pissed off freeriders between the ages of 13 and 25 are going to be banging on your door asking for some change. This is not meant to be anything other than a plea for some decent coverage of our fast growing and progressing sport.

i just sent them a nice little note hopefully if we all do this they will figure out skiing is actually something people want to see.
 
ya, i was interested in seeing some smooth slopestyle runs not a gay bigair, hopefully this will change something for future events.
