Stop closing freeway for Shaun White!

who else skis at Breckenridge CO and gets all stoked to hit the freeway jumps because its awsome weather, but they're closed because that homo Shaun White is doing 360's onto his private airbag.

Skiing at Breck we see plenty of pro skiers shredding the park. I don't know why you think Tom Wallisch would be such a big deal.

To the OP: I agree it is kind of gay that we can't ski freeway even though we bought a pass expecting to be able to ski it. That being said, Park Lane is still a great park and Shaun White doesn't spend much time hitting the bag jump so I wouldn't get too angry about it.
 
I think that's a rumor dude. Granted I haven't been in colorado for about three weeks but I have never heard of them closing the jumps down just so pros can hit it. I mean I've hit it when pros were hitting it during the day. They'll let pros get exclusive shit in the morning and after 4 pm. I know breck got like two feet of snow last weekend maybe they closed them because the snow is slow?
But I mean if that is for real that's bull shit. I hate shaun white he looks like the dude from mask.
Not "The Mask" with john carrey "Mask" with cher and that fucking crazy looking ginger.

It sucks! He closes the 22 foot pipe down at Northstar here in Tahoe frequently! It was closed for two days straight a couple weeks ago for him!

me and some friends have been debating going up there one of these nights and taking a massive shit on the air bag for him to land in.
 
He is technically riding out of Northstar this season, but obviously Breck is a Vail Resort and they have the best features open for him to train on at the moment. Looking at it from Vail's perspective, they spent a lot of money on this guy so they're more than willing to close down some features for him to train. Whether you like it or not, he is still the most recognizable figure in snowboarding and skiing, it's all about marketing.

This is just one of the small sacrifices you have to make to ride one of the best parks in the world. This is a big corporation we're talking about, they're just trying to maximize their revenues in the long run...
 
I remember a thread back a few years ago saying how much of a douch Shaun White is. Like cocky as fuck and always trying to get a 1 up on everybody. For example when he had the private half-pipe built for him by Redbull he was the only one riding it. No other boarders were allowed or invited by either him or Redbull. Is this true or am I completely wrong with all this? Can someone please inform me?
 
It's true, in an episode of Cribs a few years ago he even came out and said he doesn't have any friends and he can't have any friends because he's "too competitive" so he just has like 3 dogs instead. It's in a snowboard mag too somewhere
 
Don't want to see him closing the park as much as I don't want to see him on my pack of gum.

Shaun White must go.
 
I have seen a lot of snowboard and ski films and two snowboard films i have seen prove this. One is called Red Bull Project X, all about his private half-pipe, the exclusivity of it, how it was built, and what tricks he literally created on it. So the thing about the private half pipe is all too true.

A documentary about Shaun came out a few years ago called Dont Look Down, showing a day in the life of Shaun White. He says himself after placing SECOND in X-Games slopestyle, how disappointed he was and that he felt like nobody could beat him. He then went on to say that when he rode pipe in the Olympics that he felt like he was unstoppable and there was no way he would lose (for those of you who don't know, he did take first at Olympic snowboarding superpipe that year).

So to confirm the theories, I would say its all too true that Shaun White is self-centered, over-competitive, and will do anything it takes to win.
 
that used to be a perk of breck. they never closed the parks midseason for anything except a couple of comps. such bullshit. they should close keystone's pipe for him instead. no one rides that anyways.
