when ever im flipping these things (Dluxe Hoodies are always around) they never are more than about 30 - 60 apeice and they never sell for more than 120

Ever think that ebay might be swag not fakes?

Its because BAPE was like a rip-off of Nike. So they got sued over trademark and registered kind of crap and now they dont make em, so they are like limited in supply and thats why they are $200. We just did somethign with BAPE in econ...
 
Okay, I am not saying to buy the real thing. I couldn't care less, but just don't buy a fake on ebay, because for those people who did spend a lot on them, saturating the market with near perfect counterfeits ruins the value of the thing for the guy who bought a real one at the real price. Anyways, that's my rant, and I stand firm behind it.
 
oh poor them. Listen, Im going to say the majority of people who buy Bape hoodies are in it for the fad. If it becomes too mainstram theyll just drop another half grand on some other ridiculously ugly and over priced item. Its not like they care too much of the item, they just want to show status and/or how trendy they are. Really, explain to me why else would someone want to buy one of those.

Had those things been selling for $12 at Wal-Mart they definetely would not be as big as they are now.

The only valid reason I think it should be stopped(as with other counterfeits), is that it sucks that people might unknowingly spend so much for something they think is real. But they have that problem with a bunch of brands. The legality behind it really doesnt botter me personaly.
 
You're so fucking ignorant. People don't buy expensive shit if everyone has it. I like to buy rare stuff that i know other people aren't gonna have. Its called being a collector. I have a pair of UNKLE dunks that i payed a lot of hard earned money for. And I do care a shitload about them, I wore them once and I don't intend to wear them again in the near future. And sure, if they had been at Wal Mart for 12$ i wouldn't have bought them, simply because every other kid in the world would have a pair. I like having a unique wardrobe. I don't have any bape stuff, and i personally don't think its really bad or good looking, I just hate it when kids strut like they're ballers wearing counterfeit clothes they bought on ebay.

I've been civil throughout this whole thread, and it was never meant to hate on anybody. I wrote what I think about people feeding the demand for counterfeits. You on the other hand decide to take up beef with a kid you've never met and will never meet, and try to "make it personal." The only insult I said in this thread was calling that other kid a noob. I think that repeatedly calling me gay and a 'deuch' is immature and uncalled for. I hope by hating on me from behind your keyboard has made you feel more secure and a bigger man. But I still say:

Buying fakes is ethically irresponsible, unoriginal, and frowned upon by anyone who is into urban fashion and culture.

spending 200$ on a pair of deceny shoes is ok, good shoes prevent ankle, knee and back problems so it's all good.

Spending 200$ on a hoodie is kinda stupid, no matter how good it is, it wont do you anygood, you should rather spend the same amount of money into buying a good set of baselayer and and any hoodie yo can find under100$ (wich is way too much for me still..)

This way you save money and you may as well wear your baselayer for anykind of sport activities wich are good for yor health and prevent you from non-kinetics illness.

Paying a lot of money for stff that make yo look cool is stupid, paying a lot of money for stuff that are usefull is different

I don't see anything wrong with buying expensive designer shit if it genuinely fits, feels and looks better then cheap clothes.

but you can't be a dumbass and only wear designer clothes... i have a 3 dollar plain white shirt from zellers or some shit (with a custom print of a pirate fighting a unicorn) and it looks and fits just as well (and better then) most designer clothes i have tried on/own.

As for that bape or whatever, i've never heard of it and i think that theres a reason i haven't. That looks like shit. If your going to buy expensive shit, don't buy some stupid fad that is going to be way out of style buy next week.

the hoodies you see on ebay are no more fake then the ones you can buy in the store. they are made in the same factory by the same people. a buddy of mine flys for an air cargo company and goes to asia all the time and get $300-$400 spyder and northface coats for $20 bucks right from the same factory that the ones that get shipped to america come from because they sell them to the emplpoies for basicly the cost of the material

i agree with the creator of this thread. but it is not worth arguing for the sole point that your outlook on fashion and the industry is completely different from theirs. III or wahtever your name is, don't worry about other people, i don't particularly agree with fakes either, but the people who wear fakes are in it just for the fad , and not to make a statement about themselves.

and unless you are into this type of culture , i.e. a lot of it revolves aroudn the hip hop scene, you will never understand why you would want reals over fakes... its more of a matter of pride, but its also something you believe in.

so sport your real dunks proudly and whatever other clothing brnad you are rocking, and next time someone asks you about it, you can say i picked it up last time i was partyin in nyc. thats a lot cooler story than the kid from new hampshere saying he used his moms credit card to buy it over ebay.

 
oh to add to that, i've got fake stuff before, buts its liek dc hoodies from china... but its a different story with brand like bape, nike, bbc, etc...

so i don't want to by hypocritical, its just two different beliefs behind the clothign you are wearing.

the sweat shops run in asia paying the regular price and shit and all that stuff for nike bape etc, at night the sweat shops illegally hire other people, pay them lower and continue producing the same goods. These are the exact same goods, but they soemtimes lack a tag. They are made from the same materials with the same deisigns layouts and everything. The quality is someitmes a bit lower because the workers are working shitty ass night shifts for low pay and  are the bad workers of the bunch. None of the money from selling these good goes to deisngers, companies etc....anyways the point is they may be fake, but it is usually the exact same product.

There are also staight up fakes that you talk about, but they are less common since there is no reason to open a whole shop to make fakes and it would cost them money to get thier hands on all the labels and exact desing procress, so they are usually made at night on double shifts in the same shop so that the shop can increase its output and profit.
