Have you people not learned anything? The name is just a name. It has no relevance to the judging of the event. You guys bitched and moaned about the exact same thing last year ... and the year before that, did you really think things were going to change.

Yes, the format of the event was bullshit and you can debate over whether you believe the right person one or not. I'm not diagreeing with you there, but stop going on about style and all that. It hasn't been about that for years.

I guarantee you will be complaining about the same thing in a years time after next years event.
 
So........... Prior results don't mean shit. Just because Rolland is a pipe skier means he can't win a big air event? He deserved it.
 
Just because he doesn't compete in slopestyle and hasn't won any other big air events, does not mean in anyway he doesn't deserve to win.
 
You do realize that this was not a slopestyle comp? You see, there is a significant difference between slopestyle and stadium big-air events. He stomped his dub 12, and it was really stylish som judging by difficulty i think he should be in that particular contest rather than b-dog, because it is a huckfest stadium comp. Anyways, the format is stupid, and I think it is disrespectful, cowardly and under the dignity of any skier to throw a flat 3 when the person in your heat has taken a fall after a dubb. It is not Elias fault he was randomly selected to jump first.

People bitching about him getting an invite:

1. He is the best pipeskier in the world

2. He slays jumps, with tons of style

3. His main sponsor is Peak Performance. It is called Peak Performance King Of Style for a reason

But liek zeriouzly ai thank that Rolland shildnt win and stuff, and Deschenaux shuld have get a invite and he is liek zuper ztylish and stuff and he should win and stuff
 
I kind of agree.. Jon did the same thing basically.. fridtjof ate it in his heat and jon just threw a 3... kind of rude if you ask me.. but they know that all they need to do is land.. rolland threw a flat 3 after elias ate it in the final round but the heat before that he threw a dub 12... still kinda wack in my opinion.. definitely a dumb format.
 
yeah well the name is misleading and quite stupid in my humble opinion. they should legit think of changing the name to king of dubs. it would be more fitting and people would quit bitching.
 
it just seems like individuality should be awarded in comps, but that will never happen. the robots will always be rewarded for holding their mute grab for a split second longer in their double cork 1080.

Exactly, until dub 10s start happening by most or even a decent percentage of KIDS on here I don't think I will ever look down upon that trick. I think the real reason you fucking pissed off is because Rolland wasn't wearing a tall tee.

they should just play a game of skate. that probably solves the problem. Im not saying it doesnt create a whole new set of problems, but whatever.
