dont knock it till you've tried it! how the hell would you ever know if it makes you a shitty driver or not if you havent done it. for myself, i do it all the time, and i do fine.
 
yes thats why i've gotten in car crashes everytime I have driven to the mountain.. or anywhere for that matter. weed makes you more paranoid on the road which is a GOOD thing cause most of the time, other drivers suck and you need to be defensive. it makes you check both ways countless times for pedestrians, etc.

Yeah man. Sometimes when I'm sitting in class I look around and like half the class I know for a fact has smoked atleast once. It's crazy. And same with just random kids I know.. It's like, THAT kid smokes?
 
My theory is that driving sober is always the safest. With smoking pot it would make sense that in situations such as parking and moving around in a low congested area it would increase things such as dexterity. When moving down a highway when a split decision must be made, most-likely on instinct, you are going to be at a disadvantage because pot slows mental and most importantly in this situation the physical reactions of the body. This is also why more people are convicted on drug related charges while driving in the city appose to the country where there are smaller odds of "accidents." So going off on a tangent theory/conclusion... more people, more danger, less pot.
 
this thanksgiving i found out that she still does and all her friends to too.

and then right after she said that my bud sends me a text and says

i do everything better stoned because i become extremely focused on what im doing. i wouldnt say driving on the tree is safer but its not more dangerous.
 
its not safe to drive stoned. not as safe as driving sober. i didnt read that. i dont need to. i do it all the time, and im telling you, there is no way it is safer.
 
it does make you a shitty driver. i can do it when it's late at night and i'm the only one on the road but if i ever drove like that on a highway i'd be done
 
I'd be too afraid of focusing of something that's NOT my driving. When I'm high, I getreally focused on anything, like music or thoughts. So I thinks that while driving high,I'd get lost in my thoughts and just hit a tree
 
Hahahaha that is so true! This one time we were driving behind this car for mabey 10 minutes and I thought it was a cop the whole time. It was a white buick.
 
this is actually true... to some extent...

i think they are speaking more in comparison with alcohol... although reaction time is slowed... your awareness of the senses is actually enhanced while stoned (unlike while drunk)... you are still fully capable of doing most things while stoned (unlike while drunk)... the fact that you are stoned makes you paranoid which in turn actually makes you concentrate more for fear of crashing/cops/etc... therefore making you drive quite safely...

when your driving drunk your basically death waiting to happen...

of course there are exceptions to everything, i wouldnt smoke like a blunt of some dro to the face and then go drive...

but driving a little stoned you will most likely be fine...
 
id say any time ive been driving in about the past 4 years ive been high %67 of the time, and ive only ever been pulled over once and ive never had an accident, so id say driving high is completely safe, but thats just me, and i drive a shitload for various reasons so its not like im driving 10 times a year or anything

 
well i would say your personal experience is lacking in any experience with me or how often i smoke.

i dont agree with anyone who says it slows ur mental and physical reactions when ur high

becasue when my friends and i get stoned we have pool noodle fights and pillow fights and like nija type fights, and we can fucking own

we block everything, and like counter stuff

It depends on how high you are too. My buddy will be driving along and see a car that he thinks is a cop and freaks out cause he thinks he is driving too fast so he will end up staring at the speedo and not watch the road untill I say something so then he freaks out again and looks back to the road and starts speeding again.
 
of all the times ive driven high, i must say im a much better driver haha. but then again i will only do it if its like 3 in the mourning and someone needs a ride home. so no cars around me anyways. but if i was sober im sure i wouldve speeded all the way there and back.
 
i dont do it anymore. driving with a nice buzz is totally fine and really fun, but once in awhile id get a lot higher than i expected (usually cuz i was smoking someone elses weed and i didnt know how good itd be). for me there is a definitely a point at which i become too high to drive and it isnt safe, and im done flirting with the grey area in between.
 
I don't think driving high is exactly a good idea cause your reaction time is slower, however it's nothing compared to driving drunk
 
you just have to know yourself and how you get when you smoke. i wouldn't drive high because i get retarded, but maybe some other people can do it. i can't. and id rather not risk it anyways. insurance is already high enough as it is and i don't need to add any risks that could potentially make it higher.
 
i'd probably fall asleep at the wheel if i drove high. it's just a bad idea in general, in my opinion. also, i know how irate i'd be if i got hit or something by a high driver
 
yeah i think it affects different people differently definitly isnt as bad as driving drunk

just like some of the pros i know can do cab 10s while their high as FUCK so how could they not easily drive a car when theyre that high

some people cant concentrate when their high though so maybe it helps some people and hurts others

 
I suppose it would depend on the person who is getting high. A good driver who is concentrated will probably drive just fine high. A person easily distracted who doesn't smoke often will probably not be a great driver after smoking dro. I don't think its fair for someone to comment who has never smoked drugs though, some people who smoke and want to find out information about a fun activity so we dont need your uneducated assumptions.
