Stolen iPod

My buddy's iPod was stolen and we were wondering if there is any way that the school he goes to (SU) could trace it once it is plugged into someone elses computer....so basically if the iPod has something traceable like an ip address (yes I know they don't actually have one.)
 
Well every iPod has a unique serial number so if the iPod is registered then you would be able to get your own serial number, but it wouldn't help in actually finding it but rather in assuring that it's your buddies.
 
my brother goes to su....haha some kid beat another kid up for "losing" his ipod then the shit beat out of him by a puerto rican kid for messin with his buddy. People get in fights all the time for ipod stuff around here.
 
my dad works at su man. the computer services or some shit. too bad i pods dont have ip addresses or id tell my dad to get on that shit.
 
if you use the lock feature on the video and turn the ipod off, will it still be locked when you turn it back on?

this would be the only way I could think to fuck someone over that stole ur ipod.

how you get it stolen anyway, ima keep a $300 electronic device as close to me as I can
 
just go look for kids with ipods. ask them to see what they have on it. he didnt steal your cord too, so eventaully itll run out of batteries and will have the same songs. just stop wasting time on here, the longer its gone, the harder itl be to get back. distinguishing scratches help.
 
I hate how you people do not read. Maybe its your lack of intelligence or you're just too lazy. Either way its very annyoing.
