Stolen Camera

So i was at killington on sunday and my sister dropped her camera. it was right at the entrance to the dreammaker park and was in a black case. Its one of those small rectangular picture cameras that also takes some bad quality video. also a chapstick fell out with it. It was on the first run of the day, about 9:00 or so. There are some pictures and videos, one of me doing a back lip on the down rail on a snowboard (jea). so if anyone knows anything about this, please help me get the camera back.
 
that sucks. I've found like 3 phones in the snow this season. bjorn was there sunday he probably stole it, considering that he stole my poles. I'll beat it out of him for you tomorrow.
 
it sucks losing shit on the mtn but just be glad its not any more expensive then that... i have a 1000 dollar video cam with me and i'm always pretty careful about it.. except i fell with it at cranmore once and the audio stopped working for the day
 
Next time be more careful. And I second the post above, it isn't stolen if you dropped it.

Check the lost and found at K-Mart. If not, save up your allowance money and buy another point and shoot.
 
I lost my camera this year too, it sucks balls. Especially when you have video of yourself skiing waist deep pow on it...
 
dude some fag dropped my camera once and i filed a lost thingy

it was in the park at mt snow

and a gayper guy picked it up and returned it

it was stolen because we checked every base's lost and found repeatedly throughout the day and nothing turned up.
 
You're an idiot: If you drop something and it gone that's called "LOST". If someone reaches into your sister's pocket and takes the camera, that's called "STOLEN."

Suggestion: When your Mom buys you a new camera print out a piece of paper that says "If found please return to Jackass Killington Skier, 555 Main St., Craptown, New Jersey, etc. etc., $$$ REWARD FOR RETURN"

Then take a picture of the paper and leave it as the first photo on your camera. This has worked twice for people I know.

Also, try using the zippers on your pockets!!!
 
dude if my camera ever got stolen i would shoot up the hill. fuck it makes me mad just htinking about it.

How do you know someone picked it up? What if it got buried by the next skier who came by or, more likely, what if it slid off the side of the icey K-mart trail and into the woods? What if you found a $20 bill on a trail at K-mart and you put it in your pocket? Does that mean you stole the money?
 
if you take money to a lost and found people would think you're retarded. an actual object is different; its identifyable. and the place where im sure it fell out is a flat area for about 15 feet in all directions. the chapstick which fell out with it was on top of the snow, and the camera was not there, so it didnt get buried.
 
OK, then call the police and try to file a report on the "stolen" camera. When they are done laughing at you they'll tell you to file a LOST and Found Report at K-mart.
 
no hate, but you lost your camera, it was not stolen from you, you misplaced the object/fell out of pocket, there for, it was your responsiblity to find. you lost it. someone picked it up. they did not steal it from you, they took it off a killington trail. thats like saying i dropped my killington trail map, and then someone picked it up. they stole my map god damnit, no. you lost it.
 
wow all i made this thread for was if someone knew someone who found a camera to get it back to me. i know its not nearly as bad as having it actually taken from you or if it was a really expensive one. why all the hate im just trying to get the camera back because i know somebody has it, whether it was "stolen" or not.
 
Hey man, I'm not trying to bust your nuts, I'm just trying to explain the difference between saying something's lost or stolen. I guess I'm a little touchy about this because I had a buddy who was almost arrested a few years ago when a kid accused him of stealing his video camera. In the end it turned out the kid had dropped the camera off a lift, and didn't want to tell his Dad, so he said it was stolen and blamed my friend, since he was sitting in the base lodge at the end of the day with the same type of Sony video camera. Luckly my friend still had the original box for the camera in his car.

I hope your camera does show up, but I had a bad day at K-Mart this winter and left a glove on the gondola and a pair of poles at the basin lodge by accident, and they are long gone. I've checked L&F multiple times without luck, but I'm not surprised, it's K-Mart.
