Stolen Camera/ Whats happened to having fun at the ski hill~?

I can't believe whats happening, everyones stuff gettting stolen. but in my case, its different, peoples skis/boards that get stolen are out in clear sight, tempting people to take them. Well my $700 dollara camera and bag with $200 dollars in accessories lenses/lights is deffinately unheard of because it wasnt in plain site tempting people. It was under chairs against the wall, hidden behind a bunch of other stuff. Some one had to dig around to find this unless they were there the 3 seconds i was to hide it back tehre.

Now my company is without a camcorder for a while and cant really get anywhere.

I'm Pissed: dont give me any crap about, so what u can get another one free from insurance, no, my parents wont file the claim, says it looks bad and insurance will shoot up. So i'm relying on my friends parents to do it.

Another reminder like other posts have, the hills are supposed to cool places to enjoy the slopes and parks with eachother, not a free place to steal, that took me about 5 months to buy, whats happening to the youth of our industry?

I try to leave mine in the car when it is not in use but my camera sucks so i dont care that much, But that is so gay who goes looking through stuff at a ski hill. I you find some guy with a camera like yours i would walk up to him and upper-cut til he bleeds out of his eyes

yeah, um my car was un 5 flights of stairs and then another 50 uyards or so

thats hard with all ur ski gear, carrying poles and skis too. I know it was avoidable a few ways, but its sickening

i always stuff my shit in a locker. it may cost a dollar, but at least you know its not getting stolen. especially at k-town where people will steal the clothes off your ass.

it sucks and shouldn't happen, but why would you not put your camera in a locker, back in your car, or some other secure place. not smart man. shouldn't leave something like that lying around....at the worst ride around with it.

i wasn't trying to give him shit for it before moron. but now here i go: its common knowledge you don't leave valuable stuff hanging around even if you do try to hide it. it sucks that it happened, but thats why you take the little bit of extra energy to go put it in a safe place. the fact that so much stuff gets stolen, especially from ski resorts, pisses me off too. next time don't be so lazy and go put your shit in a locker, your car, or ski with it on you. thats what everyone else does and you don't hear them saying their shit was stolen do you. use some common sense.

How many times do i have to tell you. Hiding it is good and all but it's still gonna get jacked. It deserves to be. put it in a 25 cent locker dumbass. everyone who gets sick gear and doesn't lock it or keep it on them should have it jacked to teach you what locks are for. not everyone is nice like you. me included. oppurtunity is made to take advantage of and that was an opportunity for someone without a cam or who wanted extra bills. suck it up and learn your lesson.

i had goggles that were eith my hat and gloves and everything all wrapped together. it was next to me. a few minutes later i look and my stuffs on the ground and the goggles were taken off from my hat and gloves. those bastards. how low can people go?

also, my dad was talking with this guy, and the dude said he took someon elses skis from a resort cause he liked em. and, u know what the guys defense was? he said that the skis were probably the skis of some rich kid. if i saw him id throw him off a cliff and chuck the poles down after him togo through him.

you dont really need a lock for your skis. just take one of your buddies skis and have him take one of yours, and put them in different places on the rack. nobody is gonna jack one ski. and nobody will walk around with one ski in their hand lookin for the other one because its looks so suspect.

Me and my buddy caught some little pukes walking off with his dad's skis in their hands. We were gonna beat the living piss out of them because they're the lowest form of humanity but they dropped them and ran and we couldn't catch them because ski boots aren't very good to run in.

yeah you shouldn't leave your skis out either, people take those too, now days you have to fit your skis in a locker or else they'll get stolen.

I've been tempted to steal skis, but then my conscience kicks in and realizes its not cool.

yeah... obviously people feel that they can't go out and buy their own stuff, so they steal other peoples. That is why you should always have a secure place for your stuff. I wouldnt leave anything valuable in the ski lodge or wherever even if it is 'hidden well' because in those places there are always so many people around, and they can be watching exactly where you put something if they are interested enough.
