StokeLab is a new magazine that just had its first issue, I thought it was pretty cool. It's not just skiing, or just snowboarding, or just skate, it's all the things that make people stoked all wrapped into one.

And best of all, you can read the first issue on their site! The tribute article to CR Johnson is well written, and has some pretty decent photos, too.

stupid question here, but is this even a print magazine or an e-zine type thing. I find no info on actually subscribing to get something in the mail.

Have you ever heard someone complain about getting “too stoked?” Neither have we. The StokeLab Digital Media Project was founded to create and deliver high-stoke content in all of its forms, and highlight the people, places and pursuits that inspire us all, whether skier, skater, biker or slacker. Our content ranges from reflective stories on inspirational icons like the late CR Johnson to kayaking the steep creeks of Crested Butte, Colo. to fly fishing the waterways of central Vermont. We just launched the first issue and N° 2 is due out this fall.

Seems like a pretty sweet concept, and some amazing photography in there as well. might just have to subscribe.

Also I know it would be ridiculously hard but a gear review issue would be sick. Like one that covers all if not most of the gear in most of the sports that your magazine covers. It would be so full of information
 
I'm from vermont and I was wondering if you guys have any vermont connections cuz you had a downhilling photo in killington, a backcountry photo in VT, a photographer from jeffersonville, vermont and flyfishing in VT
 
yo - yeah, we're part located in Vermont near Killington and part located in Crested Butte, Colorado. We're trying to mix in a little of both flavors, a sprinkling of East Coast and a sprinkling of West Coast and we hope to get everyone a little South America flavor as well. Hope you're diggin it.

just subscribed, just wondering if there will be hard copy issues released down the road? gona show this to my friends, its a sick mag already.
 
Thanks ngates. We're glad you were diggin' it. No plans to release any hardcopies as of right now. We're going to try to stay green and save a few trees. But all the issues we put out will live forever in our archives at our main site www.stokelab.com (we've only posted one issue so far but the second should be out September and keep an eye out for a 2011 Resort Guide) All that said who knows, maybe if demand for some special hardcopies is high enough we'll print some up.

also, just wanted to throw an idea out there.

I think it would be awesome if you guys featured a fan letter or fan pictures every issue. you know get the readers stoked on each other and maybe continue to build a stronger following. I think you guys could be huge!
 
wowzers. Way to kill it Cash! So much good content in this issue. Stoked to see what you guys are cooking up for the issue 3.
