Open this mornings newspaper.

And I see this article:

'A skifield with jumps and a slope to test the best is planned under 30 minutes' drive from downtown Auckland.'

'SnowStar group said yesterday that it was seeking Rodney District Council resource consent to start building the country's first snowdome sports arena by early next year.'

'A snow hall of about 11,600 sq m would be kept around minus 5 deg C and and offer two slopes. One of them, 300m long by 40m wide, would be available for all skill levels and the other would be a learner slope, with a conveyor belt lift.'

'The snow hall would also have a terrain park, including big jumps and 'table tops', to cater for freestyle enthusiasts.'

why doesn't somebody on here invent a snow substitute that could be put on any hills around town. then everyone could have their own uncrowded terrain park. or maybe that's just the beer talking.

 
there was talk of one going in T. but the city and the company didn't agree on land leasing or some shit. i don't know - i could be just making that whole thing up.

Whoa, haha, dude, that's badass, I wanna move back up there now, haha, just so I can go to the snowdome, wikkid!! hahaha, amped dude, I'm in Queenstown right now, at an internet cafe, just bought a huckdoll, haha, it's so cool,. only cost me ten bucks US as well so stoked as! wikkid, damn e-mail won't work, haha, I hate down days, but fresh snow right down to the lake, 30cm pow day tomorrow, oooooh yeah, haha, and a rental car, woot woot!!
