On other forums I've been on, it's customary to post unboxing pictures when you buy something awesome. I recently took advantage of Moment's big sale, and now I want to show off.
This morning, I was neurotically checking the Fed Ex tracking site, and when the status changed to delivered, I raced down to campus mail services.
I may have been a little bit excited, because I arrived to pick up my package before they had unloaded it from the Truck. It was worth it though, because I felt like a boss carrying my 6 foot box across campus.
I unpacked the box in my Res-Hall lobby so I could show off to my friend who was working front desk, and I got lots of approving comments as people walked by to go to their morning classes. Even the non-skiers were impressed by the graphics.
I decided to show Tanner my new skis, he was being a bit camera shy this morning, but I'm pretty sure he was excited behind his stoic expression. I mean, come on! Next year I'm going to be REAL SKIING ON REAL MOUNTAINS ON REAL SNOW!!!
I took a picture with my PBR board for size comparison. These are pretty fat skis. The graphics also look AMAZING in real life. The photos online can't do them justice, you need to see them real size.
I'll be sure to follow the instructions on the tag. No washing machine for these skis.
Anyway, this is my first pair of pow skis, and I'm really stoked. I'm planning on mounting them with FKS 155 on MFD ALLTIME plates for side-country and touring. I'm thinking about mounting -2.5 from center. I only weigh 135 lbs, so I'm not very worried about losing float, but if anyone has mounting suggestions, or recommendations for good fitting skins, let me know.
Other than that, everyone have a good day, and if you see a skinny ass kid shredding at Alpental or Stevens Pass, give a shout.
