Sticky snow

Today when i was sking i was trying 2 work on my 3's. At the begining of the day i could easily pull one but by the end i couldnt get around even when i tried 2 spin really hard. The snow by the end of the day was really sticky and it was like 60. Could it just have been because the snow was sticky or do i just suck. Im thinking the second one

Yeah dude, its not the snow, but you dont suck either, you just arnt doing something that you were doing at first.

use your sholders to spin as well as look over your shoulder untill you spot your landing. you can land them everytime if you see the landing. once you spot it, open up and you will stomp it unless you are off axis. then you fall

this is a really dumb question but what are some pointers on spoting your landing. Whenever i spin i dont feel like i have time to spot and when i try i dont get good rotation

it was off the side of a like 30 foot table. The jump off the side was alot better and i could get alot more hangtime

when i do threes i bring the 180 around really fast and then bring the other half around really slow, in the beginning i just hucked it spun like crzy but id always stop at 270

just dont even think about the one 180 because that should come really naturally focus more on turning ur shoulders after ur halfway through the 360 then just spot ur landing

the snow was sticky? what do you mean?

u mean the snow got stuck to the bottom of the skis? or it was just slow?

Just pop, keep your head up, and look around for the landing, practice is the key.

spinning is all about looking over your shoulder, and as soon as you quit looking, you stop spinning, but the problem you were having was you were just tired. I always just do 180's by the end of the day.

i had this problem on my 540s

just work on keeping ur head turned

before i hit the jump i would turn my head over my shoulder just so i got used to it

try it it worked for me

ok thanks for the advice. What i mean by sticky snow was that it was pretty much slush and it was really easy 2 carch an edge

other good advice for practice looking over your sholder is switch 180's. you are already looking over your shoulder and you just keep looking untill you see your anding. stop looking and stomp it. i landed a switch 1, 3 and 5 on the first attempt.
