Sticky skis

i put a shit load of wax on and last year i could go like 5 days before they needed ot be waxed again which would be a while considering i only went like 2 days a week. probly just the wet ass snow from this sucky weather

sounds like wrong wax. maybe take it to the shop and see what they do and if it works and ask about their technique?

ive ridden my board at least 40 times in a row without a wax job and its completely fine, you are doing something wrong.

no i scraped all the wax off and i made sure. its probly because it was like 20 when i put the wax on then like 40 or 50 when i went skiing again so the wax was wrong

Probably the wrong wax, but if they always sticked in any weather, temperature, and snow conditions, then I would say base burn maybe? Try taking them to a shop, get them waxed there, then go skiing. If they stick terribly still then it might be base burn. If they're great, then its your wax or the way you wax.

it sticks when its really wet and then sometimes when its like 30-35 out. not when its cold though. the wet snow just stripped my babses of wax

yeah, your definitely using a wax thats for cold weather. if it swix are you using like ch5 or ch6?

i use swix ch8, and its a good temp wax, like 25-35°F or something like that.

remember-you can always put warmer wax on top of colder wax, but not cold wax on top of warm wax

hot wax

im not sure wat wax it is, my dad got it. its swix or purl. i think its some racing wax cuz my sister is like taht

if its swix then what color are you using....it sounds like your using the ble/purple color. and when you put it on dont drip a bunch on..the more you have on the slower you go and the more you have to scrape. put just enough on to cover you skis. trythis site if your interesting in purchesing wax and supplies to give you the best base preparation...they are located out of enfield NH.

ya dude your def doin it wrong. look some wax tutorials on youtube or swix website or somethin. unless your waxing your skis with kickwax, which is wrong.

wax a thick layer, let it dry for 25-30min, scrape to a very thin layer, buff with a scotch bright pad. and you should be aight. Make shure your using the right wax for the temp. and you may be using a shitty wax too.
