couldn't find any threads out there on this but on the toe piece theres a big screw on top and one screw on the side of the wing. correct me if im wrong but the top screw makes the pivot toe harder to twist and the wings are what keep you in. I just want to know how to adjust these two screws cause the top one seems really tight im about 150 and 6 feet tall. I wanted to know more about he binding before i go tampering with it so please help me out.
thanks

if you have to ask, then you should mess with them, thats just asking for problems. take em to your shop

well i have a 2 pairs of sth 16 one i have had for 2 years and another pair i bought used from someone on ns. when i got the ones from the kid on ns they were a lot tighter and the screws were further in so i thought well when i bring these in to mount they will test and fix this well i brought them in got them mounted and there still the same. unfortunately my shop is really bad and doesn't really know what there doing but there the closest and i know not to mess with bindings unless you know what your doing so i thought i would ask some people with more experience in bindings.
and i think you mean shouldn't

is that it? cause it seems the tighter it goes the harder it is to twist the toe left to right in a circular motion.

well is your boot clicked in when your adjusting it? if it is than it makes sense thats happening bc its clamping your boot down.

Yeah, which is easy to adjust correctly. If I remember right you should be able to barely pull a piece of paper out from under the toe of the boot when it's in the binding without the paper tearing.. that and din are easy to do yourself. All I ever have shops do is drill holes for $10-$15.

^^^ Thats really helpful because my STH 16 have maybe 7ish mm of travel up and down between the boot toe and the binding. I don't feel it too much when i ski so i was going to leave it. But with this information, it would be a nice thing to fix.
