Stevens vs Schweitzer

Buying a seasons pass at one...not sure which. Right now i am leaning towards getting a pass at stevens. Discuss....

STEVENS.

pros:

avg 450" of snow of a year

3.5 hr drive (< drive to schweitzer)

lots a steep terrain

cons:

half of the snow they get is wet

SCHWEITZER

pros:

avg 300" of snow of a year

snow is pretty dry

cons:

4.5 hour drive (> drive to stevens

lots a steep terrain

foggy a lot of the time

You don't want to go to Stevens. All of the snow we get there is heavy and wet. It rains all the time. Your pass will be a waste.

I here when driving to schweitzer, its best to wear a white sheet and hood in order to fit in with the local population.

iv never skied stevens, but iv skied schweitzer most of my life and can tell u its worth it!

the park is pretty dam good towards the middle of the season.

great trees and snow!
