Stevens Pass Thread 09/10

I've been surprised how all the rocks get covered in snow over there, and it's just those thin leafless bushes left(that you can ski over in some cases). It will have enoguh coverage real soon..

I'm just looking forward to the back of cowboy. Really, i you're touring to deadwood, there are many other tours higher up that you start in places in Mill Valley that will get you a just as good untracked run in the same time or less.
 
You know that burnt area across from the back and down the valley a bit more? that thing apparently, but if you're not touring you won't get up it.

I MIGHT be touring Monday since my skins came, possibly one valley farther from the highway than the backside is if that makes sense, but not 'deadwood'.

this. i will be up there sunday and monday with another GoPro HD. shout at me, i will be in a blue jacket with evo die cut on my helmet.
 
It's been snowing decently the past few days. MLK day should be a pow day.

I'll be up tomorrow, on 189 One Lifes. I'm thinking I'll be in pow most of the day if it's decent, but will probably feel the need to try the One Lifes in park.
 
just got back, was fucking epic today, so much new snow. oh and i took a lap through the park and they have the 2 final jumps in the pro line in!
 
today i felt like i was waterskiing. it was sooooo unbelievably wet. good thing i had my 20k stuff on. i realized how much i love my chopsticks, first day back on them today.
 
sick, so glad they finally did this. and now we have pow. at least the rest of the season whenever there's no pow there's a jump line.
 
probably, i had my black j lineberg jacket and helly pants with suspenders on with no poles. what were you rockin today i might have seen you. i was kinda takin it easy today since i jacked my shoulder last week
 
hmmm didnt see you i dont think. give me a shout if you see me again i am usually up there by myself. i will always be rockin the black helment with an evo, wsu, and NW die cut on it with either lime green or white anons i have a bunch of different outerwear
 
the new pro line is so dope. couldnt hit it today cus the speed was terrible but when it stops rain/snowing it should be good. outback was fun today.
 
y were you even in the park!! 7th and tye actually had snow for once in the season. did any one see me and same bomb holes on 7th, the one double drop off the right and a 15 footer to the left?
 
maby Shane McConkey was punishing you for skiing park on a day with knee deep pow inbounds.

but that does suck

i almost hit blake with an 18 inch decently big slab from a 55 degree+ chute he was almost standing below. maby next time.

It went pretty big the second I touched it leaving me in a skinny icy chute with rocks and bushes. fun.
 
the 3 jump line sucks imo. Maybe i was just having an off day with the jumps but idk couldnt ever get a good feel for them.
 
maby you'd prefer them with more kick? to me they all felt like pretty flat takeoffs, but I only hit them once on the way to the parking lot.
 
I am confused why you would be skiing in the park?

I don't think I skied anything less then boot top deep all day.

there were definitly some runs that we were getting face shots all the way down.
 
Not to mention that it was pretty empty till about 12:45. I think that was partly from people not being able to get up from the east side for a while. Still though any view of the park I had there were plenty of people skiing it while freshies were everywhere. I think that's a good thing though, less people in the pow..also friday then saturday were the best of the weekend, today and tomorrow won't be as deep everywhere and probably will be more busy.
 
hahaha i would have asked that too. i got there at 2, skied 7th till it closed, skied tye till it got dark, and then skied the park at night.

Good luck with that. Isn't outback the new(ish, like 4 years old) name for Corona Glades? That will be all skied out now, it was packed today from what I could tell from the webcam. Tomorrow won't be like yesterday where there was knee deep pow a minute from the top of the lifts. How good are you and what skis are you going to be on?

I'll probably be up again tomorrow on One Lifes again, hopefully getting some filming done if the snows still half as good as is was saturday(when I should have brought the camera, oh well).
