Stevens Pass Thread 09/10

what is the hike to ski ratio roughly for the heli hansen thingy? and how long is it? im in uber good shape because of lacrosse so i was thinkin about doing this if its gunna be fun and not gay.
 
Hmm. Are you talking about in the parking lot? or when I was trying to work with the snowboard bindings? i remember those but they werent very bad, but I also fucked up my shoulder somehow.

who are the Seattle U people on here that I met that i didn't already know?
 
Boisen has an account but she's not active and I don't know her name. Actually don't know if Gabe is on there, maybe should tell him to register.
And the rest are snowboarders. There a couple other snowboarders at our school who are really cool, but they couldn't make it.....and a chick that used to race from Bend, but I havnt actually ever ended up skiing with her as she works most weekends and stuff.
 
I along with my brother (special_k10101) will be at Stevens tomorrow night until Sunday midday or so. I've got purple saga pants and he's got ldc pants. Holla at us!
 
Last year there were three hikes. Piss Point, Cowboy, and out towards Wenatchee Bowl.

Wil and I took third place, and we skied/hiked/rode everything in 2 hours 5 minutes. It's way intense. You'll be tired afterward.

Be sure to get a partner who can ski as fast as you can. If you get more than 100 meters apart, they give you time penalties. It might not work perfectly though. I'm absolutely certain that Wil and I were farther apart than that at least three or four times; we got no penalties.

We're going to Portland this weekend, so I'm not there. But good luck to everyone who does participate.

 
northshore d1 highschool how bout you? anddd it appears stevens is getting absolutly shit upon...up to a foot+ by the weekend so that makes me very happy,.
 
garfield. im on varsity but the team got moved to D2 last yea because they had no one, every kid was a senior and left. but now we have some good players.
 
Blah I'm bad with names. I remember Dyllon, Kyle, you, and I can't rememer your friends name with the green skis(some Seth ski I think) even though I've been with you and him a few times now... plus it's not super easy to remember everybody new from that night..

Soo, this saturday I might be going to Crystal if they get about as much or more snow than stevens, and probably stevens sunday. Anybody I know interested in Crystal?
 
Sam that was me, Andy, with the green skis. Boisen was the only girl. and Gabe was the shorter guy with the furl ined hood.

and it looks i'll probably be going to stevens, it looks like crystal didn't get as much snow as I thought. Should be back to being powdery.

i has a ride already both days, and the pow will be bad its supose to rain and so no one leave the park this weekend.
 
yea looking at the forcast the powder is definitely going to suck. But there will be nice new snow in the park, which will soften up landings etc, so I'd definitely recommend going there.
 
Really? That sucks. The best part about days where there is new snow, is that a lot of people go out and ski it, and the park with nice soft landings and everything is emptier.
 
^yeah it really is a bit sad(/funny/pathetic) how many days there's 16 inches of powder over sheet ice and the first thing I see when I get to the top of Polaris is about 3 people all skiing the massive avalanche face of Highlands at the same time(and my favorite: sometimes skiing over cracks near the top). I'm surprised nobody has died there since that happens so much...
 
haha yeah. and now i have been riding suspects with FT hotdogger boots. also for the last few days at stevens i been wearing purple saga

were you at stevens on saturday?? i didnt spot you :( but then again i left early to attempt to get rid of my shin splints...which apparently i have accomplished :)
