Stevens Pass Thread 09/10

conditions today? trying to decide if I should bring the 202s for the 45 footer across from the top of tye tomorrow. I only need 15 inches of powder(semi-thick is ok)ish since the landings steep.

The second half of the day I'll probably be in park, on Pipe Cleaners if I bring the 202s or on One Lifes if I don't.

I'll bring the beacon if you still want it. See you tomorrow. You trying to hit tye rock? like the one right under the lift? Baller status right there.

Nah, I'd give Tye rock maby 18 feet, and it has a horrible landing. The cliff I was talking about is much bigger, and you would get to it by going all the way up the hike we did first thing in the morning(we went maby 1/3 of the way up) and dropping it facing towards tye. It was fogged in all day today, so i wouldnt have been able to have anybody film it, or have been able to spot it from a few hundred yard away like i had planned.

Howd the park go for you? after lunch I ended up lapping right under seventh(where there are usually lots of exposed rocks) and back to Tye for a bit but didnt do any more hiking. most sketchy places in bounds people were staying away from, so more untouched pow for me! So worth being on the 202s today, and not a single big scratch added.

park was ok until i broke my skis. I did the wallride twice, once was to short, once landed on top but went over it. THen the third time my ski just fuckn hit the bottom of it and split up. Totally messed up my skis. Trying to fix them but the tip is totally de-lamed, pretty shitty.
Going to be riding with justice tommorow if you want to ski together again. I'll be on my real skis so should definitely be a lot of fun, there's still a lot of good stuff up there.

fun park day when the fog rolled away a bit on the jumps...such a cool 3 line and with the stuff up top I thought it was tits

Not sure if it will help, depending on the damage, but:

shit works.

should be available at home depots and such.

just put that in between the split, try to be even as possible, clamp it, let it sit, then enjoy.

Yup, thanks for the advice everyone. Ghetto rigged it a little bit with p-tex and rubber cement. Covered the top in duct tape to keep moisture out if possible. Gonna see if it holds.
THanks.

Visibility sucked today but the snow was pretty good. I think its supposed to snow 8 inches so tomorrow could be good.

there is generally a lot of skiers

My take on the current set up:

What happened to waterfall? It is now SMALL flat and lifeless...did you use snow from it for the other two? It needs its pop and length back.

Maybe it was just today (or my skis) but zero speed for the second which makes the third unhittable.

the c-box and the trap box are set up cool but the lips on are at the wrong angle and shoot you straight into the box making for a less than smooth ride.

Where did the s go?

Why FDF for both? At least set one of them up DFD.

I like the effort that has been put in and really appreciate it but these little things seem like they would take no more effort when building yet make the park 10x more fun. (I understand you dont have a ton of control on speed)

agreed. The Waterfall jump actually had pop at the beginning of the season. Speed has been an issue with the pro line since they built it. Even charging a straight line from jump 1 to jump 2 doesn't seem to give enough speed to comfortably clear the second jump. The third jump is just weird as I've knuckled and overshot the jump dropping in from the same spot.

The weekend was really good went both days and for park the weather and snow wasnt all great for park conditions, but i still had a good time trying out the jump lines and such.

i was to sore from lax on friday to go this weekend is there a new set up?? what is it (besides having the pro line)

man, those jumps were deceivingly small to what they looked like. you only have to go like 3 mph to clear them except for the last one, which looks the same but is about twice the size

t rev refers to you as the fag in the pink jacket, along with chase daniel nate max allison brian raimundo kris dane and chuck.

Going tomorrow with my snowboarder friend ryan. I have bright green pants, bright blue jacket, silver helmet and will be on wrenegades. He has green pants to so were pretty easy to spot.
