The most snow Stevens has ever gotten in one year is 967 inches during the 1955-56 season.

I can only dream of that, especially since this year sucks bigtime. An average year is about 430 inches. This year Im sure will be far below par unless something happens.

nice, thats cool.

You know baker holds the world record, right? how much is it? 1100 inches or something crazy like that?

Snowiest place on the planet.

Unrelated, the rainiest place on the planet is the top of a mountain on Kuaui, I've been there too.

--------------------------------

Dont worry, its a controlled slide.

no, the rainist place in the world is Cherrapunji India, the record amount the have gotten is over 1000 inches of RAIN!!! With a yearly average of 460 inches of rain.

To put that in perspective if and inche of water can be as much as 20 inches of snow, than 460 inches of water could be 9200 inches of snow. Kauai is up there too.

facinating.

I find places on the internet that list both the place in India, and Kuaui as the rainiest place.

But Baker is still the snowiest!

I wonder what Snoqualmie's record is, 40 inches?

Dont worry, its a controlled slide.

oh, also, record snow fall amounts are total snow fall values, it wasn't that deep at one time. Thats how much accumulated over an entire winter season.

Dont worry, its a controlled slide.

i belive it was in 93' when the pass didn't open til Jan 5 but then got 200 inches in Jan and 180 in Feb so we can only hope.....

I think that all people should ski but all of those people stay out of the park

if you go to baker on the lift poles they have a mark of how much snow there was....it was ridiculous

Hey honey, take a walk on the wild side

^thats just the PACKED snow, try to imagine what 1100 inches plus looks like unpacked, thats 91 feet!
