Alright Foxy, in all seriousness, here's the truth.
I'm pretty sure that the "freeride team" that you're referring to is run by SPAC and is coached by some chick that has no business teaching people anything past how to do a 360. I could be completely wrong, they could have a qualified teacher now, but I doubt it. The truth is, there are very few people qualified to teach park skiing past basic jumps. The people running around this state offering to coach people have either never stomped a switch 7, they have a completely different background (aerials, moguls, racing etc..), or they can do some good tricks, but don't have the background in teaching and education to safely and effectively instruct people.
So if this "freeride team" is just a social group and they don't want to charge you any money, go for it. However, if you have to pay to join because there is "coaching" involved, tell them to fuck off, because you're way better off just skiing with your friends.
