I watched part of the comp today and was impressed with a lot of the stuff I saw being thrown. There was a lot of washouts but I attribute that to the fact that it was slushy as hell and the landing turned into a mogul field pretty much.

I recognized a few names from the forum like Schoening and Grant. I knew you guys could throw down but there was some dude who looked a bit older who was absolutely goin ape shit. Who was he? I thought I heard the announcer say the name CJ after he went huge and wiped out. He was throwing all kinds of ill shit but had trouble landing from what I saw. He was wearing some more conventional gear, definitely did not have the typical baggy gear like the younger crowd.

Who all competed from this forum? And is that one dude well known or did he come out of no where?
 
not sure who that CJ guy was, but it was scary watching him drop in, but kind of cool nonetheless. He won some ground beef, but didnt claim his prize...
 
Nah I dont think it was Coby. I heard the name and that Coby kid was definitely was killing it. But this other guys threw like trick that one would see at those olympic airial contests. At one point I was him hike up above the in-run and bomb the whole things and throw some crazy ass spins. Couple times he like landed on his head and he'd be upset, grab his shit and hike up to do it over and over.
 
yeah, the cj guy is really fuckin crazy. i've gone skiing with him a couple times, and the 1st time we were rolling through baker's park earlier this year, he took the first hit for our group on the 45 footer and did a rodeo 5 and overshot. he almost always lands on his feet whenever he goes inverted.
