Stevens Pass 2012-2013

Hahaha yes! Papa Kyle and the Hood Crew.

In other news, today was fucking awesome, especially once they opened Jupiter.

Hey so im living in woodinville (hometown) ill be around filming and such till i leave for hood for the summer in may. Looks like we got a small crew rolling into town sunday night. featuring the likes of danny "freed" schwartz, foster meeks ( but everyone just calls him chad now), hudson knoll, andy kutner, and rory mccabe. if anyone has lodging avaliable somewhat close to the pass please get ahold of me. definatley can make it worth your while!

Im going up sunday! i wanna try and go up saturday sheitttt the pows gonna be amazing! theres like 4 inches of snow at my house right now i cant imagine what stevens is lookin like!

Haha no but for real its probably because they got screwed last year when they tried to stay open later they are going to squeeze every last dollar out of the last couple weeks of the season

Which is bullshit because they've been making bank all year. So fucking many people have gone up. Way more than last year. You don't fill up the Nordic lot this often and not make tons of money.

I'm pretty disappointed though, because last year's second season was probably some of the best days of the year for me. Guess I might have to finally make the trip down to WCS...

So I guess it's safe to say that they won't operate past April 14th this year? So far I've heard literally nothing in either direction.

yesterday at flannel cup was mad fun

kind of makes me want to get a stevens pass next year...

Don't be a bitch. Do it.

And @YOLOBAMA thanks for the update. Crossing my fingers.

What I think would be fucking AWESOME and might actually be profitable, would be to stay open til the end of May, but push all the snow over to Brooks and put in all the features. Then you could advertise that there are however many (high number) of features in a park in May, and watch all the Seattle park rats flock. You could charge $25/day and have an under $150 pass. I think it could work, and would certainly work better than keeping Brooks and Sky open, because it's mostly us park riders who are gonna ride that late in the season.

And it would be great to do a season pass that covers ALL of it. I work to have money for my pass in September/October. I don't generally have the money in mid April for that. I spend it all on gas getting up there to ski.

Dope day today though, and the event yesterday was sick as well. Cool to have a bigger comp here now.

that course looked lame though, 2 jumps and a wallride? They need at least as many rails as jumps in a slope comp.

holy shit i would be stoked if they kept it open late. i get back to seattle like the 10th so i could get a few more days in

God dammit Kyle. You just had to make that autoplay...

Also wondering about late ops? Still haven't heard anything.

good thing i remembered to mute before opening this page in a lecture i was in a bit ago...

yes. pretty hard to describe the 'south park' area but hollywood bowl is side country on the south-facing eastside of cowboy mountain. follow the powerlines and you'll see it.

Thanks, I know where hollywood bowl is I was asking if that was the new "south park" area. I figured with talk of new glading and all that it'd be something like the lower gulch of rooster comb or lowerer glades below that where the natural halfpipe creek is, or Hollywood Bowl area.. any hints? You all scare me with labeling my beloved slackcountry

Copied directly from their Facebook:

"Extended Season! We will be open this Thursday through Sunday as scheduled plus we now plan operate the following weekend, April 20-21. Past that date, we will make a decision on extending the season week-to-week based on weather, conditions and guest visitation."

That's a start!
