Stevens Pass 2011-2012

no he was just sitting there, completely off to the side, so i had no chance of hitting him anyway, but if someone came mobbing over the right side of the knuckle they would have crashed right into him

yeah, i thought the whole point of forcing people to get park passes was to educate them on park etiquette. Atleast that's how it is done at other mtns. People are taught to not sit/ride on landings. When I sat in the class, we signed the forms, paid our cash and were on our way... Have to say im dissapointed with the number of idiots that dont hit jumps and simply get in the way at stevens.

The park pass class provides an opportunity for people. Like any educational setting, you have to want to learn and then implement that knowledge for it be of any use. If people don't care, they ignore the opportunity.
I can guarantee you that park crew has more important things to do than chasing gapers off the landings and pulling passes. Like I've said before, it's a community: you get out of it what you put in. Follow Thomas' lead and talk to people when they're causing a problem. Calmly and politely explain why what they're doing is wrong, yell if it happens again, then get ahold of crew.

I see your point. and agree that people need to police themselves. But when i got my park pass i simply signed the form, paid the money was told i could leave. No video, nobody told me what i should and shouldnt do while in the park. There was no effort made by the park crew to educate anyone.

The park is straight fire right now. Pro line is awesome, especially junks. One suggestion though: give the wallride a better lip for sliding across and a bigger landing. What would be even better would be to use that big dancefloor as a wallride. That would be cool as fuck!

alright you turd burglars im coming down from bellingham to do some night skiing on wednesday. see you balls faces there

got to ride Stevens and Snoqualmie this weekend while in town visiting some homies.

Stevens what the fuck? your rails are dog shit compared to Snoqualmie.

Fat order of round bar steel already in the Terrain Park maint building. Should be coming sometime in the near future.

...2 weeks? Do you know how long it takes to fabricate a rail or anything out of metal?

Even if they didn't have daily grooming, feature maintenance, net setting, blue dye spraying, pass checking, it would still take MONTHS to turn all of that steel into real sized rails.

Yes, I hope they get on it too, but jesus give them a break.

will be taking a ferry from bainbridge to edmonds tomorrow. So anybody that is in edmonds or monroe and wants me to pick them up. i might be able to. but im not drivin out to timbucktu to get you though.

How are the roads right now on the stevens pass highway. mostly right before stevens. I have a fwd car and am worried about shit happening

If I can make it in a rear wheel drive 4runner when its snowing at sea level you can make it haha. Just carry your speed up the hill and go slow down the hill

Is it just me or are the jumps at Stevens hard to get speed for?

I have mostly skied Central park this season and (granted the landings of the jumps are almost on the takeoff of the next jump haha,) I felt like the speed for the big jumps today at Stevens was super variable. Sometimes I would go super deep and sometimes I would knuckle.

Have I just gotten too used to Snoqualmie jumps or what?

Austin, just go straight. It works for me, and I'm small and on afterbangs. Speed for this jump line has a fairly slim margin for error, so if you mess up or land super deep on waterfall, you may have trouble clearing juniors. Junks should never be an issue though. I clear that jump every time.

...Too bad I CAN'T FUCKING GO ANYWHERE UNTIL MONDAY. And now we're getting a nice system in here. I would love nothing more than to hit here or White next two days. Dammit. You kids enjoy your pow, but leave some for me on Monday.
