Stevens Pass 2011-2012

I may take you up on your offer, bellevue?

And to everyone else, cross-post: if anyone is going up tomorrow and wants to pick me up and shred a few laps im in bellevue and i'd pay for some gas.

Actually may no longer be going, fucking forecast changed from 6 to 10 to 2 to 4 in the last hour. Probably just end up waking up in the morning then making a call~

Hey david and the rest of park crew, you should really do something about kids in the way of jumps. Like start pulling passes for dangerous behavior or rope off the sides of the big jumps or something. Both me and Thomas almost killed some kids on Saturday because they stopped in bad places where we couldnt see them

They're probably the derps from my ski school. Every seventh grader in my district thinks its awsome to sit on their ass all over the park.

I no longer work at Stevens. Moved home to Montana today, and my plan is to be living here for the rest of the winter, though I do intend to come back and visit sometime during the spring.
Terrain parks everywhere are a community effort. If everyone respects the etiquette and rules, and enforces it amongst the user group, everyone benefits.
Basically, this means being smart and taking the time to educate your fellow park users about what they've missed or are doing wrong. If someone is in the wrong spot, get them to a safe one, and calmly and politely explain why what they did was dangerous and how they should modify their behavior. If they continue to blow it, yell at them. If they still don't get the picture, talk to the park crew.
Respect gets respect. What you put into the park, you get out.

the only thing i don't like about it is the fact that when you use the chutes, your going to clock somebody thats coming down lower terminal...

this, if you hit someone it's your fault, don't be retarded and take the half second to look up hill

tomorrow anyone?

The cat track is sweet. You do not have to learn how to ski or board to get to the terrain park. Can skip the learning how to actually ski and get right to the park.

Park is $$$, but with the high pressure and resulting winds, definitely keep your wits folks. Don't need people getting rolled out on the toboggan.

Sick time On Friday. Park crew cats were sick. Really don't see how it's possible to hit jumps back to back. Down with the marketing guys for sure.

Park is really really sick. Like it's been said...something with junks should happen with all the groms just rollin down landings. multiple times had to bail on the jump, or send it another way to avoid any sort of problem.

on friday i was heading up the lip of juniors when i noticed some lady standing dead center on the knuckle, bailed off to one side and told her "don't stand on the knuckle", she then proceded to bitch at me for endangering her 8 year old snowboarder son who was sitting on the back side of the knuckle, completely hidden

people need to start having their park passes pulled when they do shit like that, its dangerous to everyone, not just them

Did her son fall? He could have just been getting his self together.

If I was with someone who fell, where people cant see them, I would stand in a visible up hill location above them. Makes sense.
