I dont know if you all know this but were only halfway done with our summer season at hood.....just built a new park in fact. 3 jumps, 18 ft pipe, 10 rails and boxes......I agree with Scott29 the seasons not over yet

just an FYI I will be hiring a Systems Administrator here in the next couple weeks. it's full-time, seasonal (that means 40 hours a week, august- to about end of april) so i need somebody that is willing to work with the seasonal schedule

Well Justin got new park skis a few days ago, so now I'm so stoked on having a real job and making money so I can do the same. I'm freaking out, I can't really ski or snowboard till November, but I'm stoked. If anyone knows of a place that is renting for the season, like a room or something, let me know. Thanks!

Alright. August is almost over. We're getting the beginnings of things done for this next year in the park.
From the planning and chatting that I've done, we're looking to be more jibby this coming year. Additionally, we want to be better in touch with the riders who use the park.
So here's your first chance to affect what we do this year: what do you want to see this year? What types of jibs get you most excited? Do you like Pro Line at large size? What types of jumps would you like to see?Would you rather have more jibs than jumps? How did you feel about the comps last year? What jibs are most essential to build this fall? Would you rather more jibs and jumps, or a halfpipe? Do you care about the pipe?
My hope is that I can collect a bunch of feedback, find some commonalities, and then try to please as many people as possible with our offerings for this year.
Also, if you're serious about a park job for this winter, get in touch with me. Note that you need to be at least 18 and able to work full time, holidays, etc late November through late April. It's a job, not a ski vacation, and regardless of how you hear about it there's still a hiring process and all that good stuff.

Do you like Pro Line at large size? as big as you can get them
What types of jumps would you like to see? waterfall needs to be stepup-ish, the second jumps amount of pop needs to match the pitch of the landing, and the third one needs to be a stepdown
Would you rather have more jibs than jumps? no the ratio is good just the quality is uneven

Do you like Pro Line at large size? Like junks and Jr's huge, but water fall at a medium size 35-45ft
What types of jumps would you like to see? Smooth tranistions, poppy and regular lips.

Based on my couple days of skiing Stevens last winter I have this input:
what do you want to see this year? The upper, flatter part of the park used for more jibs instead of jumps as well as the lower flats.
What types of jibs get you most excited? A good mix. Would be cool to see some barrel/lift tower type features and some cool creative setups. Round coping, lots of narrow boxes like Timberline has in different configurations.
Do you like Pro Line at large size? When I remember to wax.
What types of jumps would you like to see? Standard park style, slight stepdown, mostly table; some stepups. All medium poppy. Upper jumps can be all sorts of different.

Im thinking we should play a forum game this season.
Somebody makes up a challenge related to stevens pass, and then another person posts a picture/video/proof of the task being completed and makes up a new task. As long as people dont pick ridiculous shit like dub flipping off tye rock it should be fun. Also doesnt really have to be skiing. A challenge could be to try to pick up some random snow bunny, or find a guy in a one piece and ask him if his suit comes with a poop flap~

While riding up big chief with a ripping young lass, convince her to take off her bra and toss it in the bra tree. IT has to be the the bra she is WEARING when she gets on the lift. THE BRA MUST LAND IN THE BRA TREE. Document it with video (even gapers have cameras attached to their heads these days), or do it in front of me, and you win. *A good video clip would be filmed from a goPro/Contour attached to the tip of your ski*

Ya, it will be tough, but the bragging rights and the cool stuff in my cool stuff pile should motivate our young whipper snappers to give it the good ol' collage try.
