Stevens Pass 2010-2011

I'm likin the park right now, good flow and lots of fun. I bonked my head though so I'm out for a bit :(
 
Currently busting my balls so I can get up Thursday/Friday after class. Anyone else going up then? Carpool from Seattle/UW requested. WIll pay my share for gas~
 
gonna probably go thursday as it should be really good, not sure on ride space though as I gotta a bunch of su people that have thursdays off as well.....but stay in touch.
 
Tell them I challenge them to a fight and/or battle of wits and/or philosophical debate for seat rights. I eagerly await their response~
 
sick will do. i was gonna go up wednesday with my dad but hes not sure. so ill prolly hit you guys up and hopefully get a ride thursday.

Second week in a row they predict snow and then it changes to rain. If it fuckin rains again I am going to flip shit. This is horseshit. I fucking skipped skiing on sunday to get work done so I could go on a seemingly amazing thursday. La Nina my ass~
 
Could not have put it better. I have been watching the weather trying to determine which day to skip work and ride Stevens this week. Snow level forecasts keep going up and up.
 
Yeah I already saw that -_-. I knew it would be a lot of fun but I figured 2 ft of pow on a weekday would beat it easily. Maybe it will still come true. A man can hope~
 
that silver jacket is so ill. wish i had moneys.

but i'll be up wednesday, say hi and we can shred some powww. ill be in the purple saga gear.
 
Bump. I decided to skip class altogether on thursday so I still need a ride early in the morning. I can even meet you in monroe, but someone leaving from seattle would be easier. My car has no snow tires so I think it would be a little dicey for me to drive myself. Anyways, post, msg, whatever I need a fuckin ride!~
 
rain doesn't always equal slow park. Some of my favorite days in the park have been when its warm, either in the sun or rain. Just wax better and hope it isnt a complete soaker.
 
its the in between snow that fucks your speed.

Real wet and slushy is decently fast, and obviously cold is fast, but the most abrasive flakes are the ones that are just barely frozen.
 
I'll be up bright and early. Red jacket, camo pants, squads or rockers, black helmet. Holla if you see me.
 
Anyone that goes up this morning, it says it snowed like 11 inches. So A. Screw you and B. Have fun on that drive up.
 
first hour or two was sick. then it got heavy at like 1030-11 then by noon it was mixing rain. The morning snow was really wierd too, really light powder with heavyer on top which caused little slides everywhere
 
To be honest, I wouldn't go. I got absolutely nothing going on tomorrow and I still won't be up there. Freezing rain on goggles, crunchy jacket and heavy snow made today a disappointment. I mean if you understand the conditions you might be able to deal with it but I had expectations set pretty high for today.
 
If your going to try to ski pow any time soon at stevens you will be disapointed, wet, heavy and slow pretty bad combo. It rained pretty good for half the day.
 
Well that fuckin blows. Imagine what an incredible week it would have been if temps were 5 degrees cooler. Well thanks for the update, appreciate it~
 
fucking la nina hype. this season isn't much different from last year. unless it rained for nearly a week straight last year and I forgot.
 
Today was some death schmooo atop great snow. Seriously bizarre skiing, with terrifying avie conditions inbounds and out. I watched a buddy get sucked into a chute below Nasty Gash after a 10" crown opened above him.

Fuck these rain events. They're messing with my head.
