Steve Jobs' Stanford Commencement Address

This is pretty old but I saw it pop up again and am hoping it hasn't been posted on NS.(If it has, just let it die)

Worth the watch.

That was a good speech, but I always find it funny when ridiculously successful people tell you things like "follow your heart" and "trust it will all come together" when they are one of the select few for whom this worked. For every Steve Jobs out there, there are 20 miserable college dropouts who are working medial, repetitive jobs because their own ideas flopped and now they just middle age guys without money or a college degree.
There should be a disclaimer after the "follow your heart" and "trust it will all come together" speech of "only if you are really smart and motivated, which frankly, you probably aren't".

haha so true....generally people drop out of college because they unmotivated and dont care. These people had rediculous ideas, such as mark zuckerberg, steve jobs, and billg ates, etc

best university in the world. they have won something like 18 straight directors cups(award for best overall athletic program), and they are top 10 in the world academically, the silicon valley boom was fueled primarily by stanford grads, and the most powerful alumni list in the world.

Other than the severe lack of sexy women, how can you claim Stanford isnt awesome?
