im writing a paper about whether or not MLB players in the "steroids era" (bonds, McGuire, Sosa) should be voted into the hall of fame. Interested in other peoples opinions

steroids taste good in my cereal.

haha no but really I can't say I'm against them I mean they have bad long term affects but it should be like the person's choice on weather they do them or not. Like in hocky steroids make them more aggressive and the fights could be better but thats just me.

If the athlete is pinned 100% that he uses steroids then no, i know a kid that used to use steroids for wrestling and baseball in 8th-10th grade.... kinda crazy the kid is still pretty big too but he's way nice

it all depends on when they used it. If they used it before it was a banned substance in their sport, and stopped when it became banned then they deffinetly should be allowed in. Sports are a cut throat business, you have to do whatever you can to be the best player possible WITHIN the rules. Sure I dont support the use of drugs to enhance your performance but if thats what it takes to be the best player and its within the rules they shouldnt suffer consequences for their actions because they are NOT cheating. We need more Rod Brind'amour athletes out there, who work their asses off in the gym and on the ice all the time. (For those of you who dont know his story, his coach had to tell him to go home and locked him out of the weight room because he was in their all day and night and the coach didnt think it was healthy for him). However if they were guilty of taking steroids or performance enhancing drugs that are banned from athletes in their respective sports then there should be no place in the hall of fame for them since they cheated.
