Step One get some poles

Step 2, cut them down( i didnt want the grips so i just cut them off)

Step 3 paint and tape what u want

step 4 paint other color and take off tape

step 5 make grips

i painted my poles the same way with tape and spray paint. i sanded them down and put primer on before the paint and they are still nicely painted after 5 years.
 
rental poles are free, and come in many different sizes, and since i work as a lift op. i find a pair in a different size every week, ive got poles shorter then you can imagine, when i have my boots and skis on they dont touch the ground with my arm fully extended and them straight down

oh and fuck pole straps, I got a straight jab to the jaw with a pole once on a sketch switch landing, fuuuck that
 
I'd put some clear spray varnish on top to help stop it chipping off but make sure you only spray it on in thin layers, i made this mistake and mine now have a slight yellow tinge..
 
so you dont have straps anymore? and you realize most bike grips with flanges are designed to be held the other way?
 
If you want to make a thin grip, just put a loonie on top, and tape around for a thin, cheap grip. I could make my own poles if I really wanted to
 
Lol, canadia? And what is a loonie? Nice blue tiger poles though, how many more headshtos do you need until they turn red tiger?

Any why are some of those people in that thread scared to death of pole straps. Never had a problem, I also hold on to my poles when I fall so that me be why.
 
my friend makes poles just like. he made me a pair that were pink and white (or black i can't remember) candy cane spirals but they got stolen at okemo at the beginning of the season. shit sucked. but he made me a new pair so its all good
 
Please tell me that you are not serious. How bout you you get educated about something outside of the shithole state that you live in.
 
at okemo too? and yeah it does suck, but i only buy shitty poles because of that. i was more made because i hate thieves rather than actually missing the poles
