Stepping onto rails

can anyone give me tips on how to? ive watched movies but i can seem to get it...every time i go up i just chicken out at the last moment and look stupid going over to the side

try to start small, and im guessing since your on rails youve already done boxes. Its just about picking your balls up and doing it, the worst that happens on a small rail is you slip off the front or back side, and maybe fall on your back.... grow some

all you have to do is not puss out, rails aren't that much harder than boxes, they can just be a little more intimidating. find a rail thats really short, get a little bit of speed, and just hit it.

Just go for it, the best thing is right after you fall and you realize it didn't really hurt. Then you won't feel as scared and you'll be able to work on it.

idk when i step onto them i just step with the right foot, i spin on left. the only time i really do it is on small ass rails that you cant get speed for or theyll be over before they started. but just man up and hit it. it wont hurt if you fall.

ya i really like alieing on too! is that like slutty lawyer tv show or something? but seriously steping onto a rail is pretty self-explainitory.

incorrect, try that lipslide style and you'll be in a world of hurt. think of it this way, it you're on the right side of the rail step leftfoot first, vise-versa for the left side. basically, your foot closest to the rail gets on firts (assuming you're approaching from the side.)

problem is a lot of rails are becoming like this... at least at killington all the rails are like that and they started making some boxes too

:/

I always go downhill foot first and that works for me. My backard set up rail was a step on, and I'd put my right leg on first, transfer my weight onto that leg when it was on the rail, then lift my left leg onto the rail. It takes a little while to learn, but i can do it without thinking at all.

my first urban turend into a step on cause the snow was too slow get onto the rail from the side. too bad it was a super flat one not a full staircase one so i didn't get enough speed to balance more that 2/3 or is, plus i had to loose my urban v-card at the same time.

just do it, thats all i can say.

well i thought just saying it was my first urban was a little boring, and i also didn't know any other cards to lose besides my V.

i'll have vid on youtube or something of it too once i get the film from my friend.
