Steppin' it up!

So imagine standing at the top of the massive flowing park complete with 60-80 foot tables only getting bigger and bigger the farther you venture down the slope. C-Rails, S-Boxes, D-F-D, Rollercoster Box, and the list goes on. The butterflies start flying into your tummy holding you back from giving the first strong pole push. You stand and watch baggy pants, flashy skis, xxl jacket, headphones blasting, steezy kid take off 270 on to rail-blind side sex change-270 out continueing you on to a corked 5 to the big cab 5 critical on to the last table finishing it up with that nose grab truck driver 9. Uhh ok wow, how do I step up to at least corked 3's? or cab 5's? Now comes your choice going for it all or keeping back...

This is where I am stuck I have the abilty to throw down but I don't have the motivation or I get way to intimadted. How do the fellow members of NewSchoolers deal with this if any of you feel this way?

^haha not sure, I made it about 3.5 years ago. AndI would appreciate it if you don't try and degrate me based on a internet forum screen name... thanks.

Really? Only last year? Wow haha I could have sworen I made it back in 8th grade. Well either way you don't need to be like that.

errr.... jan 2004 isnt last year, were in 2006 dude....

And if you care about what others think of you, youll never progress! Listen to music, and tell yourself you dont give a damn shyte about what others think. If you cant do that then go ride in a hole...

If you're not into music, just zone out of the competition scene and focus on just having fun. Think of the competition as just a session with all your friends, it helps takes the pressure off and lets you have more fun thus opening you up to more options of being creative. And if those don't work, just focus on your tricks, and your routine. You should be set if you do any of these things.
