me ad my friend are agruing over step ups.

is a step up when the table is higher then the takeoff and the landing in lower

or

is it when the landing is just higher

then road gaps r always step downs? (or most of them). So a table is when it's kicker, then flat a little bit lower and the landing after that, and a step down is a table without the flat between the kicker and the landing?

I know what a step up is (example: Candide invitational's 4 different sized ones), and a hip or spine, I'm not so sure about whats the difference between a table and a step down thought...

a table most of the time is when the landing is equal to the takeoff and a step down is when the landing is relatively lower than the takeoff

it doesn't even really matter. if the kicker of a jump just sorta drops off, i call it a step down. most step downs seem to have less pop that tables.

the take off is a lot lower than the landing that's it plain and simple

wow, ive never thought of this before, mainly because it doesnt require any thought. at all. step up, you would be stepping up to a landing higher than the jump. step down, you would be stepping down to a landing lower than the jump.

step up is like jumping from 1 stair to the next stair up.a step down is like jumping from a stair down to the next 1.and a table is a kicker the flat then the down landing

the whistler cliff gap in X=ten is a step up, Candide's cork three up that cliff in Ready Fire Aim was a step up, Anthony and Simon's backountry gap was a step up. the landing is higher than the kicker and is usually flat. Tables are not step downs NoR step ups, they are just tables. same with hips and spines. They aren't either. Anthony's huge cork 7 at the end of his part in X=ten was a step dow. pretty easy to figure out. if it was your friend that said the weird table thing then he is mentally ill and should go take some flinstones tablets.

that's a step down table. if the takeoff were level with the flat part of the table, it would just be a flat table.
