Stencilling on T-Shirts

Just wondering if you can spray paint stencils onto t-shirts and then use the t-shirt straight off or do you need to do something after the spray painting to stop it running in the wash etc?

spraypaint doesn't work that well. best bet is to use a fabric pen or go out and get a screen, emulsion, and ink and screenprint your design on.

word, screenprinting is not hard to do. my roomates have a single press and a huge ass 5 color setup in out house, exposure unit and all that shit. i never have to wear dirty shirts ever!

screen printing is the shit...for art class all i do is make shirts...my art teacher gets so pissed off at me

depends if u want to get fancy or if u want to due it all yourself, cut your screen place your screen and paint ur screen

just to get started makin some shirts, before you sink the time into screening (worth it eventually), you can use spray paint... but just don't expect top-notch results. It'll look good enough right off, make sure to iron the shirt after you've sprayed it, waxpaper over the painted part, and from the inside of the shirt to help set the paint.
