i dont get y a lot of skiers are trying so hard to have snowboard style. and noone say 'its not snowboaed style, its just a dif way of skiing...' i read an article in freeze, and tanner hall even said that he was trying to bring snowboard style to skiing. and most of u followers are all over his nuts and do wahtever he does. if u wanna have snowboard style that bad, snowboard.

 
I think skiers are just looking for more and more ways to differentiate themselves from the classic stereotypes of a skier - I mean I'd much rather look like a snowboarder than a spandex-wearing racer or a Line-skiboarding 12 year old. Some would argue that what we do in the parks is closer to snowboarding than it is to classical skiing, so why not pick up a bit of style along the way. Either way, remember, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

don't be so close-minded kid. You act like it is illegal is imitate something you like. Snowboarding is a sick sport, why shouldn't we evolve more and bring styles from other sports?.. Then again, what am I talking about, I think we should do backscratchers and wear flourescent colored clothes so people will KNOW we are skiers! woohoo!

Nothing's wrong with racers, but I have absolutely no desire to wear spandex and bash gates when I ski. I could have used the example of recreational skiers vs newschool skiers but I wanted more contrast in my point.

Hey now, dont go dissin the Line team, or anything related to Line. Line has had just as much to do with the newschool movement as anyone, if not more. Just coz they were progressin with skiboards, then on to skis, doesnt mean you have to bag em, dont hate em coz you aint em.....

I don't want to be lumped in with the traditional 'skier' image. But I'm not trying to have asnowboard style either. I AM trying to be smooth and make my tricks look as good as possible. Just like most of my snowboarder friends do. Style is style, no matter what you ride.
