Steep BETA

I do lots of tricks on Steep. All kinds of flips, rotations, etc.

The only thing that's not in the game are rails. But as it's obviously backcountry oriented it doesn't really bother me.

Not everyone likes the same stuff, everyone can have opinions. I am just not a fan.

Oh absolutely. Everyone is different. If I stopped playing Steep after the first 30 or so minutes I would definitely have agreed with you. But it just got better and better the more I played it.

Now, would I pay 60 bucks for it? Fuck no. But I paid $20 to play the SNOW beta on PS4 and I feel like I've been robbed too, so...

I had no idea people paid to play it on PS4? Why would a company make you pay for a game, to play for a few days, that is not even finished. It was free on PC atleast.

I'm talking about SNOW. Steep beta was free on PS4.

Yeah... $20

I don't mind paying to help developers make a game better through betas etc, but I have the free Steam version since it came out a couple of years ago and I honestly don't really saw a difference... I was hoping for so much more, and it basically looks like a Wii game. But maybe my expectations were just too high.

I thought it was fun as shit. Yeah theres no rails but who doesn't like hauling ass and sending sick tricks off huge cliffs? Real is fun but so is unreal. I had a bunch of fun playing with my roommates who don't ski, they were stoked on it too.

In my opinion if you can tolerate snowboarding buy Infinite Air. Infinite Air is mainly park and backcountry, no paragliding etc. If steep integrated a terrain editor it would be an amazing product but Ubisoft chose to not implement it. Infinite Air has a great world editor that tops shred sauce in many ways, doing the hard work smoothing out most surfaces and more. The controls take a while to learn but the controls are built to allow as much control of the rider as possible. Skate 3 was an amazing game and I believe Infinite Air is as close to skate than steep. SNOW is a great game too.

Anyone else on Xbox one crashing every 2 mins?

Yeah I got error messages all weekend, it read as a problem with my network, but thats not the problem considering I'm using my schools dedicated gaming network with an unholy Download and upload speed

I loved it but the only thing i can't deal with is the fact that I have to be online. I mean i get it it's cool and you can ride with other people but that also means that i can freaking play if i don't have wifi. it should be more like GTA

Steep is NOT a park game! It is ONLY a big mountain game, and if you get over the fact that it will never have tons of rails etc it is so much fun.

Yeah, but I can't get over it, seems easy to implement if you ask me, but then again I am not a developer.

I don't do big mountain backcountry, but I don't think it's rails' natural habitat.

Now I wouldn't mind a fallen tree trunk or two in the woods..
