Steele is the shit, he and Vinnie can both slide right foot and left foot forward. Steele's natural rail slide is left foot forward. The rollercoaster is a sick rail, but it is old. Peter Olenic went into a rollercoaster S at Breck, but he did a fakie butter 270 on, then 270 off, cleaning the whole thing.

no dis on Steele, he is fucking awesome. Check out Strike 3 for more of his sick rails.

Rail progression is unstoppable right now. Here in Vail we have one of the most difficult s rails in the world. In the beginning, JR Martinez and I had a competition to clean it first. Then who could 270 off, then who could go switch on, then switch 270 on, and it kept building up, and now we are both throwing switch 270 on, then darkside 270 off. Switch ups on kinks are now natural, rollercoasters are not cool unless you hit them switch, or spin off. From a professional standpoint, I dont see the rail progression stopping. Tanner is doing switch 450 on and 270 off on little bike racks and small flat rails, but it is only a matter of time before he adds the 450 to his switch disasters on 40 foot kinks. Paul Cotter and Jon McMurray throwing backflips to rails is huge progression.

I am interested to see Blunt, and Strike 3. Their teasers seem to have the most urban rails, and rail progression. Josh Bryant at CLP is putting together a sick video magazine called Vibe, and it has a lot of sick rail progression.

id say the best rail skier ever is this kid from stowe emil cody. i think the best rails ever will be in his brothers movie, proof. he did the uvm 14 flat 14 thats in true life. and he did a rail at my school thats like 80 feet long with no run in. heard there will be so many more rails from him. i think he beat steele in the east coast jib fest, im not sure tho.

have u seen pollards rail run in mammoth in royalty. it is so smooth and stylie. that is the best rail run.

 
steele has just taken out the slopestyle in the ripcurl freeski pro at mount hotham. proving his style is a cut above the rest.

Thanks for bringing this back haha. You can really see how fast skiers have progressed if only a few seasos ago a 270 off was the shit.
