Right, im confused as hell now...Steele Spence has his own ski company...right? so why the hell does atomic have him on their new site on their AFT team?

not possible because steel was riding Salomon bindings and 4frnt is comin up with a binding

it makes no sense though, hes been off the atomic team for the whole season, and now they made a huge change to the website.

Steele and Matt Sterbenz arent the only ones who own 4frnt, theres two other guys, just cant remember who right now.

Why? Because they're a big company......? The Tweak was a sick all mtn twin, the stomp was pretty good in the bc, and this years line up looks nothing short of sick.

id buy 4frnt line armada or ninthward over any french or austrian or german ski company period but i must admit i think the 03-04 red and blue stomps and tweaks were a cool looking ski

next, tweaks are some of the best twin tips made as they are extremely versatile, and were laso designed by rex thomas, and im pretty sure that he knows what is good for a ski. shut up.

As far as Atomic goes.. They are doing fine. They have a few good riders and take care of them pretty well. They've got Rex, my friend Anaiah, and a few other guys.

Eat. Sleep. Breathe. Ski.

 
You all realize how stupid you sound saying that Atomic is a terrible company because they only make race skis? Firstly, they make some of the best race skis available to the public. Secondly, they make exponentionally more off of their race skis than they do off their new school line. Thirdly, they do have some very good athelets on their team, even if they did loose Steele.

i talked to rex while i was in whistler, and he told me that there is a VERY slim possibility he might not be with atomic next season....but i doubt that though, because they'd be losing a huge asset to the AFT team...

i just hate the companies that started making twins just because other companies were and they thought they just had to put out a product to look good. thats why sterbenz left fischer because they were focused on their race line and really did not want to put much of an effort into the twin line. thats fine and all but i would never ski a fischer or atomic twin, i would only ski on a ski from a company who puts a good effort to make a good ski AND is supportive of newschool and all. dont tell me how i am wrong because i know what i am talking about. see how K2 completely re-did its line and refocused on the twin market after pretty much most of their riders got fed up with them and left...

 
Steele is not riding on any of Atomic's products. They asked him to stay on their boots and bindings after he went with 4FRNT, but he declined. He left them on really good terms, but doesn't have any business reationship with them any longer. I think their site is not updated yet.

Honestly, how do you expect to make any money (which you will not, there are plenty of other companies to choose from who have quality products, warranties, a credible name...not some punk from NJ who thinks hes God)by badmouthing other companies products, who are part of the newschool industry (which you are not)? Atomic makes a durable, quality ski, and simply because people haven't ridden them and decide to ride for a core company doesn't automatically make Atomic skis gay. How many times have you heard...yea the edges ripped out of my Tweaks, or shit, I have three cracks in them after only 3 days of use, or, one big air on them and the tails washed out and snapped! Never. Atomic doesn't need to focus their energy on a Newschool line of products because they virtually own racing skis which bring them incredibly large amounts of revenue compared to any other companies line of Newschool products. I can't believe you are even making an effort to make a 'core' company, because you obviously do not have a clue as to what is going on. Everything you post on here just gives you a bad name, and its quite annoying.

i know that atomic race skis are awesome, anyone who has any clue into racing will agree. ive ridden their boots,skis and bindings and their great if you are race focused but im not, i want something lighter, handles and fits what im looking for. i mean this is how it is in any indrustry or business. for example i wouldnt buy a saturn suv for serious offroading, they might be great cars but other companies such as toyota put more R&D into their offroad trd line then saturn so i would expect a better product from toyota. same with skis. Line, salomon, k2 seem to be putting more of their R&D into their twins than atomic so i would expect a better product from them instead of atomic. come to think of it i really do not know what you are arguing. no one is saying atomic race skis suck, they are saying that they expect better twin tips from other companies

 
^ I understand what you are saying, but have you ever ridden an Atomic twin? Tweaks are light, durable, responsive...everything you would want in a twin-tip. People just don't buy them because they aren't putting as much R&D into their twins because they don't need to, and they already have an awesome ski out there.

Rex Thomas Is a good skier. Period. He might be a little on the back end of the game but he is still rocking it out. He still kills it allround, and i was impressed with his run at x-games this year, far more than i expected

We all gotta stop bashing the ski industry and sick skiers... Where's the love?

highfly900, you said that fischer didnt put much effort into designing the twin tips, seemingly saying that they just took a race ski and twin tipped it, and made it seem like you thought that all race companies who have a twin tip out did the same thing...but that is a generalization taht is totally wrong, with two valid examples, the rossi twins, and the atomic AFT series, which are all twins. The atomic skis are all wonderful skis, and if you ever tried them, you'd probably agree...but, apparently, you havent, and you are deciding to make a decision that is completely unfounded, just because you think its cool to jump on the band-wagon of suppporting the smaller, dedicated-to-park-skiing-companies. Now, don't get me wrong, i respect that, and in other things than my skis i usually try to do the same, however, you have gone and made an idiot of yourself by saying atomic sucks, when it really doenst.

yeah....the tweaks kick ass. You guys have prob. just never ridden them. They are the perfect ski for all-mountain and park. Ride em then you can have a say about this.
