I got one built in my backyard, it seems a little slow, do u guys use candle wax on it or what?

Give me some tips
 
so wat kinda wax do u use, and do u even use any type of wax, it seems sticky when i put it on, and without wax it just looks sketchy? not sure wat to do guys,
 
painting is not an option.. (cold weather)

i grinded the rail down, cause there was some rust on it.

will wax be alright for a bit?
 
Why the hell not? Get some spray paint at least and spray the top atleast, then add wax.
 
like i said its to cold for it to stick, id have to sand it down so that the paint would actually stick,
 
i dont think hte paint would even stick to a smooth surface in the first place, on run at it and its all off
 
Ok well if you're gonna be lazy and not paint it, then wax the shit outa if before every use.
 
yea i did candel like half of it then i realized it just wasnt ssliding as well as the regular steal, and a good point is if i dont paint it, it will rust even quicker now that bare metal is exposed to the weather, so do u guys sand the shit outta ur top of the rail where u slide or u literally just spray paint over guys? and add wax when it drys?
 
use any kind of wax. wax every part of it. slide it a couple times and it will slide faster cuz ur edges basically smooth it out. my friend has a 3 ft tall rail and thts what happened to his so try it.

shampoo. no joke. works for me. or ya grease is good too. and as fa as waxes go...don't use candle us like sex wax..that shit surfers use. or get some skate wax its made for sliding shit n' works real well.
