Hey Ns,

Here is a little background info on today's download: Steel Pulse was formed in 1975 in Birmingham, England, specifically the

inner city area of Handsworth. The founding members were schoolmates

David Hinds (the primary songwriter as well as the lead singer and

guitarist), Basil Gabbidon (guitar), and Ronnie "Stepper" McQueen

(bass). All of them came from working class West Indian immigrant

families, and none had much musical experience. They took some time to

improve their technical proficiency, often on Roots inspired material

by the Wailers, Burning Spear and several other prominent Jamaican

artists.

Here is a small collection of there works for all of you to enjoy. You can thank MuchoMango for the request. Bless.

-Tony

Yeee, that's for finally gettin this up Tony. I was so pissed when my computer wiped all my Steel Pulse music. I can't wait for their new album to drop.

Could you throw up Earth Crisis and Living Legacy too when you get a chance?

Here's a really rare LP where Steel Pulse did a bunch of different versions of Van Morrison's Brown Eyed Girl, you gotta see it live to truly appreciate it: http://www.mediafire.com/?zyymtwyownz

I really like the "Bulging Eyes" dancehall version

African Holocaust was their first album that I got. I think i have 12 or 13 of their albums. I wore that one out for a while.. pretty cool of you to put this up here. Im assuming your a pretty big reggae fan. Ive been looking for messenjah selah, breaking babylon curse for a while... If you've got that, I've got some other reggae albums I could trade you. Alot of stuff your not going to find for download on the net. Or if you have any other smaller local type reggae to trade I would be down. PM me or somethin

peace
