Steel Double Barrel Help

I looked through the first couple of pages for help but found nothing and I'm not sure how to search in a cult (if possible).

Anyways, today I got two 14' steel pipes from work and two 10' ones for supports or whatever.

I was wondering what the best design would be for making a double barrel

and what other supplies we would need. My friend can weld but we cant

think of a good design. Any help would be great

its not that nice to look at but this fine worked for me. i just put a 6in weld every 1 1/2ft for a 21 foot rail. but a better way would be to, depending on the size rail yor using like if your two 2in rails i would use 2in buy 6in plates of steel 1/4 thick lay it on the bottom of where your going to be sliding and weld the plate to the center of the rail, this way you the flat steel plate to weld your pipe/leg to. for a 20ft rail i would use about 10 plates or more, the more the better and use a clamp to but the pipes together

this is how i made my dub barrel rail legs but if you use the steel plate you wont have to cut the legs like this and they will just but up nice toghter.

Nice. Thanks for posting this. How did you get that miter cut? Did you use gas cutting torch? I have tried doing this before and getting the cut right is really hard. If it isn't right, the leg won't be perpendicular to the rail.

i just put the pipe in a vice and used a sawsall, did a test fit and had to bend the tips out a little and with a little griding it fit.but you should see some of the huge gaps i can fill with the welder,it's not nice to look at but it's strong.the best bet is to just weld the steel plate to the bottom this way your pipe has a flat easy weld.
