so uh.....next friday or sat maybe? but im pretty sure dj is workin then and he would be a big sponsor of the whole thing so maybe another date. you should just get next sat off dj and then everything will be square. friday probably isnt a good idea since well, uh, its the start of the pro tour and i wont be able to think anything at all except training.
 
yeah i work wednesday nights, thursday day, friday day, and saturday day. also some other days depending on the week. depends, but next saturday isnt good for me cause i have to be at work sunday at 8 am.
 
yea I dunno. ryan keeps saying monday or tuesday, but lol, kinda early in the week.

oh yea, zaugg still not purchased, and no progress on that front, so as far as reality is concerned, steamboat isnt getting one :P

I'm tellin you guys...Steamboat is never gonna change...it's been the same routine with the park hype in the off-season for the past 5 years. The park doesn't bring in enough money for a family oriented resort such as Steamboat to care about it. Oh well, what can you do...
 
is steamboat the mountain i should move to from vermont? ive been lookin at it im pretty excited. or is there a better mountain i should check out with decently priced housing?

Rodeo was sweet! so is a rodeo 720 off the water ramp.

You make a left at "Bitch Ave.", then you bare right on "ImALittleShite Dr.", go about 3 clicks and you'll see a pontoon boat in the middle of a huge field. Go there! Don't let them scam you $500.00 for a day pass either. Fuckers.
 
actually i think they are about $150... worth it to bounce on the sickest tramp ever, dug into the ground and surrounded by big porta-pits. i dunno about the whole having to get a USSA membership though. i hate USSA.
 
yeah, def. sounds fun....you could try just about anything and not get hurt...perfect scenario! Jensen, what ever happened to my tramp from back in the day....I wish I had one right now!
 
Dude! I always warm up on the tramps, they are sick. It's $300 for the season pass for both, plus I think $50 for a rookie USSA membership.

just Tramps though is around $100 season pass I think. Possibly $150. Go to the ramps for all the passes and info. Usually Spencer is the guy working it. Weds-Sunday. We usually go after 3pm or 4.

as for all thsi doggy downer stuff, really no need for it. I think theres been a noticeable improvement since I've been trying to scoot stuff along. Can't really say so for comps tho...I would have rather had the mavericks comp than that circus show railjam on headwall. Yea it was a good setup, but it was a circus. But then again, the cold hard truth, is that the # of good skiers in boat > the # of good boarders, so most of them prefer rails rather than jumps (yes actual jumps that are angled UP and send you UP into the air, not something FLAT, to carve off of) & pipe. Maybe im ranting, but spending 6-7 days a week in the park, I think I know what im talkin about.

Recon photos will be posted friday. 2 months to go until fall aka get crazy for winter time.

anyways, I would kill for a big air comp in march. Or maybe a pipe comp again with the revamped pipe we are to expect. I do like the rail jams down at the gondola late at night though. It's a fun atmosphere and pretty entertaining (even more so drunk). The only problem is, the setups are usually really crappy or sketch. Speed issues, angles, space...etc.

The bashor bowl will always be a problem for making a better terrain park because there is just no room and the whole bottleneck effect really f's up any sort of flow you could create in there. Gotta have it on a quad chair eventually, no other way.

It is pretty obvious that freestyle and park skiing is not much of a thing here in terms of focus of the resort and its resources, but it has become such a huge part of the skiing world all over that it can't be denied (Unless you have a place like Jackson Hole with insane vert and steeps). I think the Boat could have a sweet balance if it tried to push more in the Park skiing direction, but that's entirely up to them.
 
talked to tara yesterday and guess what???..... the mountain is for sale again.... just got on the market a couple days ago. we were discussing how cool it would be if intrawest or someone cool bought steamboat. then they would realize how lacking our park is and give is money to get it to really take off.

and on another note... yes, tom, i may need a roomie august/september... my lease is up end of august and i'm not sure what i am going to do yet.
