Steamboat

i heard a rumor that a-basin and loveland are gonna stay open all year? i should be back out by mid-may, so that'd be dope to still be able to ski a bit. Any other resorts gonna be open through June?
 
so I went to a meeting for next years terrain park. some good stuff is lined out. highlights off the top of my head are:

-big jumps that are real tabletops as opposed to step-downs.

-new zaugg pipe dragon and a pipe that is between 450-500 feet. (much easier to maintain and therefore better.)

-beginner park moved to rough riders.

-rainbow and c-bow being turned into boxes.

-two of our 20ft flat rails being combined to create a 40ft flat down.

-tool shed/park crew hut that can be incororated into a jib.

-a big 20 by 40 foot wallride.

-sobe contract revised to include hard goods as opposed to just money so ASC can't steal it all.

among other things a big focus will be on creating a better flow and creative new features. also bringing many more competitions to steamboat. hopefully a comp nearly every weekend, but at the minimum once a month. also bring more USSA comps and USASA comps in. ummmm yeah, i will be getting a typed up version of what was said in the meeting in the next few days, and i will see if it is possible to post on here. things are looking good, so keep your fingers crossed.
 
Fucking sick...that's the main thing, is tightening up the setup, relieving the pressure of the gapers and having more comps...glad to hear that they are at least discussing these issues nowadays...maybe i'll even come back to steamboat for next season...
 
what is sick is the jumps for going over the qp are being built tonight. oh and the distributed mass production of jello shots, thats always a good thing.
 
do or die for the qp jump tonight. I hope its good tomorrow, since it was unfinished today and daniel tried it anyway, haha. inches from dying. and then theres the OTHER stuff, but hey, this is a weekend for fun.

all the materials are bought. jello shot production begins tomorrow, all 500 of em.
 
haha, what you got, some codeine, some vik, some lorisette? any pain killer is good...but that is good it's just fractured and not clean broke!
 
im sure someone will post footy of it sooner or later. twas a great season, twas a great end of season party. weeeee.
 
yea so good times. probably would have been a bit better if i remembered driving home tho, hahaha. but myself, bart and daniel did confirm.......a 1000 jello shot party is definitely necessary.........its just a matter of when...been running out of particular "dates" that are worthy of such a ruckus.....so maybe we'll just stick a pole in the snow and when it melts out...ITS ON!!!!!! damnit im so bored without skiing
 
dude if they are still open in like 6 weeks! count me in! gas is a small price to pay to be able to ski! also is anyone gonna water ramp it this summer?
 
i just went to breck yesterday and it was so shitty out i didnt even go up. but yeah i think i am going back down this weekend for breck closing.
 
hey are you gonna be around the mountain or town anytime soon jensen? I still have lex's id from the end o season party.....you find a job for mud season yet?
 
yes tom, i am still around town and i would be more than happy to get lex's ID from you. and andy i can get you that footage of you i have, i should be capturing it sometime this week. either of you can call me at 846-5853. o, and tom, i just got a job bussing tables at the rio. pretty cool i guess.
 
i dont any hookups for giving ppl free shit unfortunetly. they gave me a handbook that says in it that they wont even tell employees the margarita recipe and it is super top secret. so basically i'll figure it out and post it on the internet. haha.

fyi...(and i doubt its anyone on here but if it is i will kill you) DONT RIDE THE FUCKIN BOXES DOWN THE GOD DAMN MOUNTAIN. just made everyone shit alot harder having that crap in the way. lucky there is anything there to hike...keep up stupid shit like that and you will get booted straight off and not be allowed to even go up there, not to mention you cars will be instantly ticketed and towed. Now i doubt its anyone on here, but hey i need to rant it somewhere!!!! :D
