big jumps so much fun..........sorry bout all the misplaced knuckles and shitty grooming, heath has been out of town.....everything has been goin to shit, but he's back tomorrow so all will be fixed.....want to get a knuckle and a better landing on the 2nd big set.
 
it might be just me.. but does anyone think that how the park was set up last year was better. aka super kicker on the left, the threee hits in the middle, and everything else to the left. i mean, this years could be sweet, no doubt, but i liked last year's set up more.
 
i think that this years setup is ok, it has potential to be good... but after going to the YGO, man those jumps were sweet, and the big jumps there looked so big compared to our big booter. Don't worry tom, zack, and daniel, u guys do a sweet job up there, I just think that they need to move the park to a different location, and keep all of u guys, then we would have a rockin park.

But yeah, I think that this years setup is better than last years, just that a little space needs to be filled still.
 
yeh man, those jumps down the big line at copper were insano! Drew was the only dude I saw going for cork 10's in that comp, come on mad props!!!

damn it, I'm hungover :)
 
yeah under the lift and around where those 2 small rails, and the 1 rainbow, and those little roller thingys, they could fit a ton of stuff, mabye itl be filled in later but now there is nothing.
 
yea spendin the past days n such down here in summit has revamped my motivation to make boat that much better. all our rails are insanely low to the ground, most of our jumps are slackin, and uh yea...thats about it. the gully area really does need some more stuff but we need more snow there first for any of that to happen.

It REALLY doesnt help me when I have people submitting complaints to my fuckin boss aka roger about us "refusing to rake the gutters in the pipe" when that same fuckin day, I took about 20 slip runs slipping it out, but the bitch had already left before I had it buffed out. I really don't appreciate shit like that because when they say shit like "it just seems like they want to ski instead of doing their job"....that shit REALLY pisses me off.

i will probably be up there a few nights and probably some early mornings this week once im back into work to get new and better jumps built and dialed.
 
^that sucks that people are making complaints. trust me, I have put in good words about you park staff members working your asses off. I've known Roger for a LONG time (his son and I were in the same graduating class), so if you guys take heat, let me know, and I'll make sure that he gets the good side of things from me.

On the other hand, i have great news that I have to share with my fellow boat jibbers....I just got an invite to X Games women's pipe, so I am SO stoked. I will leave this thursday to go train in Copper, Breck, Vail and Snowmass, and then hit the Open, then to X Games. Think good thoughts for me (or say prayers!) and come watch if you're down there. Yay!

And oh yeah, I like that first jump by the pipe on skiiers left hand side.. it was fun.. but after skiing at copper i feel deprived of giant jumps

yeah the rail jam was cancelled too. they are trying to movie it to around march 13th about the same time as the mavericks superpipe and maybe do it in the park or something (probably not in gondi square).

that stupid middle area is finally filled in with some stuff. next on the list is to change up the rail lines on the left....and then onto the big airs. weee

honestly, fuck stupid ass kids who do NOT check out shit and just charge stuff nd fuck themselves up. I had so many good runs ruined todfay but stupid ass kids. Now we got a shit tone of people ridin our ass about fuckin gaps to rails thanks to stupid ass kids who DONT FUCKING CHECK OUT THE FEATURES BEFORE HITTING THEM. christ honestly, i am fuckin sick of it. unless i get a new schedule, and an additional day off. fuck steamboat. I am out. I am going to breck to apply for p crew on monday, cause i dont see myself at boat much longer.

I am applyin to breck tomorrow, so i will see what they say, but comps weigh ALOT more than stupid ass steamboat, so if I cant get these days off, I am done with boat park crew. I am sick of being treated like trash and not getting any slack.
 
wow sounds like you had a prett shitty weekend. unfortunately i am going to be at vail for the open cause i have some friends in it, but i am not competing. i am also going to be at aspen for the x-games the week after that, and the week after that i will also be in aspen for a comp. i try not to stick around steamboat when i don't have to be here. sorry though. if you quit what will that leave park crew?? me and gary!?!? haha. anyways i just got back from keystone and their jumps are SO MUCH NICER THAN OURS!!! holy shit i love their jumps and i also hate steamboat.
 
i don't drive a cat dumbass. if you wanna go build a 10 foot high jump, 30 feet wide, and a 50 foot tranny with a shovel be my guest otherwise don't make dumbass comments like that. i think everyone in the steamboat park crew is sick of this shit.

everytime we build new sick shit, it has to fucking snow nonstop. FUCK THIS GOD DAMN SNOW. NO AMOUNT OF SNOW can make steamboat's shit terrain fun. powder + flat = ass.
 
bumP. sick shit on the qp today, finally nice to have a park day where everyone is gettin amped. work on the hip is still well underway, and the 3 cat wide first big jump will be insanely sick, possibly throwing an uprail on it as well.
 
dude, they need to put a park on thunderhead or something, so it is not so limited to the little basher bowl. Then the park could be really dope. But for the little space you guys got, it is a pretty fun park to play in.

Can't wait to get back on the big line when my feet heal up.
 
we should quit talking about how to improve the park cause we all know.

ahhh so I just got back in from that park, and am now sitting at work... bah!!!

But the jump line next to the pipe is pretty fun right now!!!

Watch out for the pencil pushing posse!!! we race on thursday! hahah
 
The park is great right now.

I just got health insurance so I am letting my self go back in and it is really fun.

That step up is addicting, best thing to happen to the park since the super pipe. Switch tele landings are fun to.
 
yea so IT BETTER NOT SNOW TOMORROW. I'm hoping to snag one of the mtn dew patio umbrellas and set it up next to our quaterpipe picnic table. CMON SNOW W AIT ONE DAY. wont be able to pull this off any other day of the week. uh beer and pizza maybe? oh wait i didnt say that :)

ok so maybe next week thurs will be the umbrella and pizza and etc. snow was bringin down park morale. but i was drunk the entire day which was awesome. so uh yea. emp races were fun, i was so hammered when i did it, i felt SUPER fast, weeeeeeeeeeeee. fick i need to get laid
 
back it the FUCK up. the new "snow platform" is fuckin insane. crazy shit. busted out the pizza on the picnic table today, but unfortunatelyt i couldnt fcind a way to disguise a tallboy beer as a soda, so not too much drunkenness but i was still wasted from last night. jeff was "sick" today so no prob, it was a nice chill day, hopefuly he is out tomorrow as well so i can do w hatever, but if not, just wait for thursday next week, and it will be fuckin epic i swear. table, umbrella, and pizza, oh yea and beer, wooohooo. good shit. fyi, even tho gary would probably be pissed about this, steamboats sickest park happens when the park crew is primarily skiers, teehee. anyway, back to some beers. you all have fun with our park, it is some sick shit, good stuff
