I just got in to town and found out the super pipe really is cancled. Now it is a quater pipe WTF, that is really lame. Blame it on the weather I guess. It is snowing but feals more like it wants to rain. Ick

 
can anyone give me a quick rundown of the conditions and the park setup? i will be in steamboat in 2 weeks..

everything can change in 2 weeks man, just check up a few days b4 u leave. steezboat never dissapoints anyways.

So for those of you looking to come out here right now, it might be a good idea to wait as there is no park, no snow, what snow there is is hard pack, the skiing sucks right now. I wish that the mountain would get after it and cut the frigin pipe.

 
that rail jam was kinda fun, other than the whole speed issue and not being able to slide the rail. the s-rail i think will be a fun rail jam because you won't need all that speed to go back up. anyways, i can't believe they tore down the best jump steamboat has ever seen. they tore it down and now we are back to having nothing.

No, it is going to be hit and miss. If they got moving they would have a sick park in two days but they are taking it slow. Hopefully we will have a really sick park because of it. Maybe we'll look a this on sat and say wow I was wrong but I doubt it.

 
I am gonna be out there next week, over cvhrismas week if any one else is gonna be there to send me a message cuz i am looking for some one to spinn a few runs in the park with.

Just got back from a week in the boat. No big park yet pipe is getting there but I don't know about saturday. Snowing all day wed and thurs. Elk run park with 3 rails, 1 flat down box and a hip with pretty bad landing. Storm king has some fun stuff and switch top to bottom on the rollers of tomahawk is super fun.

 
well it is friday the 24 and i am writing this from the st. louis airport on the way to the boat, how bout this; any one who wants to spin a few runs at the end of the day we should meet at the bottom of the bashor lift at like 2ish, how does that sound?

yea cool man, ill be their around 2 on some days, I just ot official word that they are trying to open the pipe for tommorow, and they are gunna set up that flat,down,flat,down box, like what kinda skis do you have so i know what you look like,I have 05 scratch fs

I was so excited to see the pipe open, but very disapointed to see it way over vert and full of holes. I love landing on the flat bottom.

 
strattonskier, i have the old pe but they are colord in and i have khaki colord pants, so eh that it, and the bottom half of the pipe is very nice but the top half is terrible, by the way it looks like they are trying to set up some jumps for this week so hopefully they will be something before i leave

Yesss, Rain is awesome. This week has been intrestring. Below zero over the weekend, now above frezeeing and rain. Hopefully it will cool down over night and snow like crazzzyyyyy. I cannot wait to get out on my new Nordica Beast powder skis.

if they build those smaller jumps good on the skiers left of the chair, it looks like you good have a line with some flow to it. they are setting up the flat-down-flat-down and the rainbow to kicker rail also. hopefully it will be sick.

Is it just me or are we getting the shaft this year. I'm moving, and yes our park licks. Went to Winter Park yesterday and slayed it. The jumps are off the hook and their park is only like half done! Nothing like champagne rain...

 
Ha, I went surfing in the pacific today. It was funn, but my little vacation here in Not Sunny Southern Cali has been little other than freaking rainning for the last week. Basiclly the entire time I have been here. It is warm though. I am bumed because I get to follow the rain home while it is soposed to get sunny here. I am hoping that things cool down and some real snow shows up.

 
went to vail this past saturday, and boats park was in better shape than theirs. was quite funny. good old cement snow bowls, wooo vail.

the 's' is up and the lip is good. too bad the park staff hasn't figured out that you can't put mounds of snow in the landings of the rails...grrrr...
